Another property with the "Did I make a mistake" moment when you drive up . But the rooms , grounds, etc are a actually very nice. The biggest negative is the surrounding area. Very few choices for dining and we found the recommended area dining to be sub-par at the very best.

We loved the “Old Florida” feel of Everglades City and the hotel…it was a bit like stepping back in time. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly (in both the hotel and the community) and we had a positive experience overall. The hotel is charming, but a bit dated in a good way…the TV selections were limited, and we ended up watching Andy Griffith and The Beverly Hillbillies 😆 The hotel was clean and had tile floors (a big positive for me, I hate carpet) but the dehumidifier and AC were a bit noisy. Given the limited options for hotels in Everglades City, this is definitely the best option, and I recommend it, especially if you are launching a kayak for a tour through the islands…so convenient!

You can see they have had some storm damage. they are renovating. My room was clean. Staff was friendly and was just a quick overnight stay. However, they showed a restaurant and that has been closed for four years they said. That would have been nice. Overall we will be back!

The staff was wonderful and so accommodating. After recovering from Ian they have done a wonderful job . Pool was clean - room was clean and the beds were super comfy. we will be back

We stayed two nights, in two different rooms. First night I would have rated our stay 5 stars. Room was very affordable, location was close to Everglades. Room was large and had everything we needed. Best of all, ac worked great! Second night we stayed in the courtyard area. Apparently they are remodeling that area as there was furniture everywhere in the courtyard. AC in this room was not great, had to get maintenance to fix the tv. The area in the courtyard was just not pleasant. The room was about half the size of the first room and I think cost more. The gift shop wasn’t open either day. We were told the cash register didn’t work or something like that. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, providing maps and lists of restaurants in the area. Hopefully they’ll get the remodel done before our next trip. We’d stay there again but not the courtyard area

Older property close to the river and within walking or easy driving distance of a couple of restaurants for dinner and breakfast. The rooms were clean and there was a nice pool area in a court in the middle. We only stayed one night, but the hotel was connected to an adventure company that offered boat trips of various kinds. Think 1950's beach hotel

Rooms and property did not look like the photos Website states they have a restaurant, only to find it had been closed for years and most restaurants in the area close early!! WE would have planned to arrive after dinner had we known this. Pool is very small and shallow, crowded with 6 people I looked the Screened in pool nice to have bugs off. nice staff

Rest Easy
Perfect place to rest after a day of alligator adventure. Super close to Everglades, 10,000 Islands and and kinda close beaches in Naples. Pool, great A/C, and hook ups to all sorts of water adventures.

Older Nice Hotel in The FL Everglades
Older hotel, but clean comfortable room, bathroom, and beds. Electric receptacle in bathroom inoperable, unreliable WiFi. In-room coffeemaker missing a part and guy at front desk on Sunday morning could not fix/replace the coffeemaker.

There was a dehumidifier running, and a bit of a smell. Paint off of the walls, blinking light in the bathroom. Couldn’t get into the pool area in the morning, even though it was open hours. Staff was very friendly, bed was comfortable.

Group of 9 booked a stay and most booked online. One couple called Ivey House and spoke with staff to book their stay. Ivey staff made a mistake and booked WRONG DATE - a month earlier and then charged full stay and would only refund $50 of $400 bill. Very poor customer service. Would never recommend this hotel.
