Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The building was impressive and well kept. The historical building must be not easy to make it feel clean but the rooms were redone in such a tasteful way and we were very comfortable. The late checkin was easy. It was easy to park and right across from fairly large grocery store.
Only the thing is that I pick this place looking photos of nice food and cocktails. I thought those were available. Turns out, I guess it’s off season now that they had nothing like that. If it was just to sleep, we could get a room for half the price. Oh, but the mattress was great. So I guess it was worth it.
I liked the front desk lady. Very laidback and kind.
Exceptional place!! The amenities and the room we stayed in were amazing. The room was spacious and had a great selection of beverages, including a complimentary welcome beverage at the reception desk as well as another one in the room. The shower had high pressure, which gave a massage-like feeling. Hope to come back for another, longer stay the next time. SP
We loved the old time feel of the lodge. Our room was very comfortable, with modern, updated conveniences. Its history, and the history of Scotia, is interesting. Note that the dining room is only open on limited days, at least in the off season. There isn’t another property like it in the area - well worth staying here!
The staff was amazing! Ali and Christine were so kind and helpful accommodating us with our disabled child. Beautiful lobby, atmosphere, rooms and staff.
Nice room and comfortable bed. This place has a great vibe if you like heritage type hotels. No elevator and most rooms are on the second floor. Restaurant was closed when we stayed so not able to review it. Would definitely stay here again. Overall we enjoyed our experience here.
