A bit of everything
This property was fantastic for our whole family. There were plenty of games and sports equipment to use to keep everyone busy and having fun. Plenty of room as well. The kids enjoyed it as much as the adults!

Family Fun Spot
This was the perfect house for our large family's Spring Break vacation. We have teen and adult children as well as a 4 year old. There was something for everyone. Everyone appreciated the game room (converted garage) as well as the putting green and giant Connect Four in the backyard. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed to cook. The Trader Joes/Ralphs/Organic coffee spot was a 5 min walk. The beach was 10 minutes away. Great location, great house, highly recommend!

Beautiful Home
This is a beautiful home in a lovely neighborhood with a gorgeous backyard and games room that our grandson's enjoyed. The kitchen, bathrooms and laundry were very well stocked. Definitely recommend paying to have the pool heated. The spa runs on an app and at first that worked really well. Then it wouldn’t pump even though the app said it was working on our end and the owners app as well. He came and fixed it the next day. That was great we could use it again. But when we turned it on again later it didn’t pump again. The owner communicated that it was working on his end but it wasn’t. We always looked forward to a relaxing soak at night so this was disappointing. Other than that we were very pleased with this home.

Hi Barb so happy you enjoyed your stay. pool and hub work great. But as mentioned a few times hot tub is on a 1.5 hour timer. After 1.5 hours you need to turn back on ,

Great for kids!
We had a great stay at this property! Lots to keep the kids occupied and the pool was lots of fun too! We had an issue with the electrical outlets in the kitchen and it was fixed immediately, amazing property manager!

Great home
Very impressed with the well equipped kitchen. Had all the necessities even a variety of spices& cooking oil. The game room was a hit with our kiddos. We did have a large group and could have used a few more towels but we washed them as we used them. Overall stay was very comfortable and we enjoyed visiting outside by the fire pit and hot tub.

Great Encinitas location
The property is just as described. Tons of things to do in the house and yard for the whole family. Minutes away from old town Encinitas and the Moonlight Beach. Easy access to the freeway to go into San Diego or even up to Disneyland (60-90 minutes, depending on traffic). Highly recommend.

The house was amazing. Came in for son’s bootcamp graduation and it was a perfect location for what we wanted to do. Had everything we enjoy as a family right in one house so we felt that we could enjoy and not have to leave to do things! Only thing is the wording on the pool info. Pool was 67* and in the book it says they heat to 85* but when we turned on the heat to the pool we were called by owner to make sure we were good with the daily fee for heating. We were not so shut it down. The hottub was small but nice to have!

Hi so happy you enjoyed your stay. Yes as we mentioned in the listing and before your stay pool heat is an additional charge and if you pay the additional fee we heat the pool to 85 degrees. Thanks again fir staying with us.

So fun!
One of the most fun properties we’ve stayed in! We loved this place. I grew up in the area and wanted to bring my family for a visit. Great location not too far from the beach, close to shopping, groceries, etc. loved the pool, thought it was worth the extra to heat it our kids spent hours in it every afternoon. Loved the garage with all the fun games, loved having plenty of seating so we could watch tv at night. Probably the most well appointed kitchen I’ve ever seen, it had every little thing we needed. Especially appreciated kid specific plastic dishes. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back. I was nervous about neighbors because kids can just be loud in a pool by nature but we wrapped it up early at night and had no problems.

Great place for a family vacation!
Our stay at the Encinitas Family escape was really fun. We went to the beach, and enjoyed all of the supplies provided! The kids had a blast in the playroom, and the pool, and the putting green was quite the treat! All the perfect touches for a lovely family vacation!

Perfect spot for group getaway!
We had three families gathered for a birthday celebration and this house did not disappoint. The pictures are completely accurate. It had great gathering spaces for everyone. The pool and game room were perfect for adults and kids alike. The house is well stocked and well appointed. We didn't feel like anything was missing. The location is great as well, close to multiple grocery stores, restaurants and walking distance to multiple coffee shops! We had a fantastic stay and would recommend this house to anyone.

We stayed at here with our three kids (3.5, 2, and 3 mos). It was perfect as it has a game room, more than enough space, and a pool with a fence around it. The house is equipped with everything you need (from the kitchen to a pack n play, high chair, and booster seat to beach chairs and toys). Everything was clean and well taken care of!

Perfect family vacation home
Our family of eight stayed here for a week. The neighborhood was quiet and lots of shopping nearby. The house was clean, well cared for and had plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The only small complaint would be the dishwasher is dated. We all enjoyed the game room but the absolute best was the back yard. The pool and hot tub were clean and well kept, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Mo was an excellent host, responding quickly to our inquiries. We would definitely recommend this property for a family vacation. We loved our stay and would rent this house again.

Excellent Property for Family
This property was incredible. It was way more than we could have ever expected. There was plenty of room, the home was more than well-stocked, the location was incredible, and the list goes on. My kids enjoyed the game room, pool, and backyard even more than we could have expected. Communication from the host was excellent and provided all info that we could have ever needed. Would recommend this property to any family looking for a home for a family vacation.

Wonderful Family Getaway
We stayed here with two of our grown children and their families (3 toddlers under 2). As reviews have stated, the kitchen is extremely well-equipped. There was nothing we needed and couldn’t find. Mo was very attentive to our needs and answered any requests or texts promptly. We had the pool heated and the temperature was very pleasant. The fence around the pool was a must with toddlers. Lots of beach chairs and pool toys. The mattress in the master was a bit hard, and also the mattress on the lower bunk was apparently uncomfortable. However, overall, it was most enjoyable and we hope to return soon! Great location! Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house has everything you need!
Renting, check in and check out process was easy. The host was extremely responsive when we had questions. The house is well stocked with pots, pans, spices and toys and games for the kids! The arcade garage was heaven for the kids (and adults) and we swam in the pool and hot tub every day. Great location, close to the beach, legoland etc. lots of bedrooms and sleeping configurations and the outdoor fire pit and putting green were loads of fun! We loved staying here!

Perfect Home for Family
This experience was perfect from the beginning. Such a great home for family to be entertained. The location was perfect, a residential neighborhood, with easy access! The home was stocked with all needs(soap, shampoo, body wash, dishwasher tabs, laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc), there was also plenty of towels and beach/pool towels. The game room (garage) and backyard were perfect, also the pool table was a hit. We loved the gas grill, outside fire, and open kitchen. This made entertainment and meals perfect. The host was very accommodating and communicated. I would rent this house again next time we head to the San Diego area.

Such a great getaway house!!
Our group of two families- (4 adults and 5 kids ages 4-10) had such a great time at this home! The backyard oasis is where we spent most of our time! The game room was also a huge hit with all of the kiddos. The owners were great and very responsive when I couldn't figure out how to heat the hot tub. (it was so easy :-) ) The location was also perfect for us- close to the beach and many restaurants. I highly recommend this home!!

Nice clean place
The house is nice and spacious. Backyard has a lot to do. If it's cold out the pool costs a minimum of $375 to heat (for only 3 days) and goes up from there. Hot tub was nice and quaint. Unable to walk to anything so if you have a large group have more than one rental so you can split up. The nearest beach is rocky & beautiful for adults. The teens wanted sandy beaches further south toward San Diego. The owner had good communication. The kitchen had all the appliances one could want. Keurig too!

Hi happy you enjoyed your stay. Yes the pool heat does cost money. We are very transparent about this fact before you book. During the winter heating the pool is extremely costly. Thanks for staying.

Super fun sports-filled vacation.
We loved all the sports activities, which are mostly in the garage. Kitchen had some spices and oils for cooking. Plenty of towels and detergent for washing, rooms were big, beds comfortable, lots of board games as well. Downsides include no very few sports TV channels, and the hot tub which is actually a tiny corner of the pool, and had to be heated up with an app I had to download and would only work when in the WiFi at the house (as opposed to a dedicated hot tub always hot so no planning needed) and auto-turned off after an hour or so.

Great Family Getaway
Honestly, we didn't "want" for anything at this house. They had it all and plenty of stuff to replenish items as well, if needed. There ended up only being seven of us so we had ample room. My kids loved the game room and the pool table. There is a TV in all but on bedroom and one on the main floor and downstairs if that is something you are looking for as well. They have a lot of board games too. They had beach towels, five beach chairs, five or more boogie boards, a cooler, and an umbrella you can use. There is a fun fire pit, spa (attached to pool) and of course the pool. If you don't heat it, be prepared for it to be cool. It said it was in the 70's but my kids thought it was too cold. If the temps outside aren't above 70, I would pay to heat it. We had a ton of fun in the spa though and it stays very warm. There was a lot of other outdoor stuff you can do too. The kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything you would want. It is about a five minute walk from restaurants, grocery stores (Ralph's and Trader Joe's). Overall, it was great and the owner was very responsive. Highly recommend.

Fun for Family
Overall, we had a nice stay here- especially because of all the fun games and amenities that supplied endless entertainment! We even went to the beach and were supplied with chairs, umbrella and cooler! The house could use some improvement in beds. The bunk beds were horribly wobbly and my kids were scared to sleep in them. The guest mattresses were really hard and uncomfortable (and also wobbly). While we enjoyed the garage full of games, it would get very hot in there, and there isn't any air conditioning. The owner told us the garage doors are out of order and so we couldn't open them for fresh air. Adding a fan or any kind of cooling mechanism is needed. We stayed here during peak baseball and football season, and the TV's do not have any kind of subscription availability to watch live games. Unless you have your own YouTube TV account you can log into, it's a bummer to not have that option. We only have Hulu TV which doesn't allow us to log into live games on a random TV. Lastly, while the owner always responded very quickly to our questions or requests, I found his tone to be really condescending and sometimes just downright rude. It didn't get in the way of our stay, but just something to be aware of if you are a sensitive soul!

Excellent Family Residence
The property is wee situated in Encenitas on a residential street but very near all the shopping one would need. It is also a short drive to a number of nice beach options and local area restaurants. We were there for a family reunion with a total of nine people including three young boys. The fenced in pool was a real asset and some in our group enjoyed the lava pit and hot tub in the evenings. We found walking the neighborhoods nice including a real hiking trail not far from the house. The house is fitted with all sorts of games and activities for kids which were helpful. The house suited our needs well.

Awesome Stay
We were extremely satisfied with our experience! From my initial contact with Mo through the end of our stay, communication was timely and he provided great customer service. We wanted to heat the pool, last minute, and he responded immediately to all our texts. The house was well stocked with all the comforts of our own home. Plenty of towels (beach and bath), laundry supplies, kitchenware, etc... The floorplan was great, as well. The kids were able to watch a movie in the living room, while the adults were able to hang in the kitchen, front room, and/or the outdoor living areas. There was a full bathroom downstairs, which was nice after coming home from the beach or a quick rinse coming in from the pool/spa. The game room was an extremely clean space for being located in the garage. All of the equipment was in excellent condition. The kids and adults spent a lot of time in this area. There were several beach chairs and boogie boards for use at the beach. All of these items were in great condition, as well. There were two refrigerators, which was appreciated to support the needs of our large group. Plenty of space for all of our food and beverages. The house is located in a nice residential area, in close proximity to shopping (a short walk, if that's your thing) and a short drive to several local beaches. We never experienced any problems with any of the neighbors. We played low music outside, chatted, laughed, and told stories by the fire pit, and splashed around in the pool, with no problems at all. Basically, we made sure to treat the home like it was our own neighborhood and had a great time. I would highly recommend this property for your trip, you won't be disappointed.

It’s as great as it looks!
We had a great time coming together with friends and family! This house had everything we needed and is an amazing place for kids and adults alike. It was well worth t to heat the pool, we spent a good 6+ hours a day out there! Mo was responsive and quick to answer questions and even brought us a brand new blender within an hour when we discovered the old one had worn out! The neighborhood was great and the perfect location for quick grocery delivery!

The Cops actually showed up!
We stayed here for 7 days. My 3 sisters and father came in from Alaska and Washington. We had 6 kids under the age of 5 and two teenagers. Great house for a big family with tons of amenities. Larger seating in the family room could be nice. We couldn’t all fit in that one room for movie night. Also night one Saturday the neighbor threatened to call the cops if we didn’t quiet it down. It was Saturday at 845 pm when she said that. Night two she did the same thing but louder and at 734 pm. We were just playing with the kids. We didn’t even have music on. The cops actually came and I was shocked that they actually would give me a citation if they had to come back so he recommended we go inside for the night. It took me a while to get a hold of the host but when I did, he was very polite and said he will deal with the neighbor. And he must have because we kept just enjoying our time and never heard from her again. Also the pool guy showing up unannounced to clean the pool was unnerving. We had our kids playing and then see this strang man outside with them? Just the facts but yes the house was great. Very close to moonlight beach.
