“Small room okay”

This Econo Lodge Inn And Suites Hotel is located off Route 80 in a small NE Nevada resort town, Elko. The hotel itself has few amenities, but is close to some casinos. The rooms are small, but for 1 or 2 people, it's sufficient. This is a decent hotel for an economy traveler, who only needs a comfortable place to spend a night or 2 at a reasonable rate.

“OK for the price”

The first room they assigned to us hadn't been cleaned thoroughly - hair in the soap, empty box on the floor, floor not vacuumed. I told the desk clerk and she gave us a bigger room that had been properly cleaned.

“Just OK”

Overall the room and hotel experience was just okay. The room was very small, not a lot of room to walk around in, so everything was very cramped. The room also was very stuffy, had an air conditioner, which we ran but just wanted to run the fan when sleeping but had to wind up turning the air conditioner back on. The bed was comfortable enough. Their free breakfast was not anything to write home about, overall the stay was just okay.

“Marginal”

Very small rooms. Other places in town with much nicer rooms, pools, and lower rates.

“Just passing through”

The property really need a to be renovated. Overall the hall ways, rooms are in desperate need for paint they looked dark & dreary. No elevators, 2nd floor was so hot & miserable. Our AC died at midnight.Furniture was old & beat up. Pets are allowed. Seen 3 small & 1 large size dog. Smoking is allowed in some rooms. Staff is friendly & kind.

“Very coozy!!”

The room was was clean enough and the people were very nice, but the room (the single queen) was tiny!! The guest room in my 1000 sq ft. home is larger. Super positive, the air conditioner was blissfully quiet and worked beautifully.

“Quality Inn, NOT!”

Quality it was not!! Barely enough room to walk around the bed. Bed was lumpy and sloped down toward the head of the bed. Definitely not worth the price.

“What a pit.”

Gosh, where to begin... bed linens that weren't actually exchanged, an unpleasant smell pervading the lobby and the hallways, a toilet that leaked on the floor, causing one of our party to switch rooms, this to a toilet that didn't flush properly (inspection of the inside of the tank revealed the non-functional attempt by someone to repair the handle with a tie-wrap)... this place is pretty bad news. On top of that, it's out on the frontier of town, which in Elko is really saying something.

“Avoid”

Expedia rates this property 2 Stars. This may lead you to believe, as I did, that it might be equivalent to a Hampton Inn or Marriott Fairfield. This is not the case. This place is dirty and in disrepair. Pretty disgusting. The "continental breakfast" was a complete joke - the worst I've ever seen. Avoid if at all possible. Several much nicer options in town.
