When we arrived we couldn’t get in as someone was already in the property. Spoke to Nicki who sorted it quickly and even took the time to bring us an extra towel. The property is conveniently located but is in need of some TLC. Not much to sort it out. The shower is terrible either too hot or too cold

TERRIBLE PLACE, would give it a negative star if i could.. Unit was absolutely filthy… towels and sheets were dirty and smelled musty. Heat took a day to fully heat up the house. No clear checkin instructions. Looked nothing like the pictures and the bathroom toilet and sink were cracked/chipped. Extremely disappointed especially since it wasnt cheap. Also the host clearly gave others the code to our lockbock because i saw someone open it on my way out of the apt, luckily we did not leave our keys in the lockbox. Do not stay here.

Pleasant place but facilities not up to standard
The shower and toilet flushing are concerned. Water flow is slow and little, therefore taking bath was timely and uncomfortable. Also the toilet flush is difficult to use, the old type handle is jammed and hard to turn

We liked the location close to Royal Mile and Arthur's Seat also the apartment was roomy. But the property wasn't maintained well, the bathroom sink was cracked, and some leak of water in the hallway. In general, the building wasn't in a good condition.

No fitted sheet. Towel has red stain. Couch cushion has a hole. Wet spot outside the bathroom. The kettle has leakage. Nice location for the palace, but you need to take taxi to go back to the train station as it is the lower area. Difficult to take buses. You have the climb up the hill for ten minutes to reach bus stop. Very unfriendly staff and difficult to reach. It does not let me to early check in even though I am willing to pay more. Very confusion check-in instruction.

Appreciating accomodation is pricey this stay did not present value for money with little positives and can’t be recommended. Be prepared for showering on your knees in a bath because of poor water pressure, flushing the toilet with a bucket when it stopped working, average cooking facilities and a check in no earlier than 4pm. Recommend you look elsewhere…….

I booked the place for my family mini getaway. They were very happy with the location, the apartment is big. Tesco just across the road and most important, they felt safe.

We landed very early in the morning of Sept 4. I had emailed the owner about early check in and understood from hisxwife that this would be arrange-able. However, when we arrived at the building, there was no early check-in arrangements accepted and it was difficult to contact him. When he did reply, I was told check-in was 4 pm so we made a booking at a hotel in the downtown area. I have no idea was the accommodations are like at the apartments.

Great location and comfortable stay
This apartment was in a good location close to the train station ( probably the best way to visit Edinburgh as this does not come with a parking space ). It is clear that the owners are making an effort to improve the cosmetic appearance of this flat and to be fair is not bad for the price ( you can always find faults if that is what you focus on looking for).

A shame
The apartment was lovely and warm with endless hot water. Unfortunately it is not very equipped for being a self catering apartment. Lack of kitchen utensils not even a dish cloth to dry dishes. The bathroom was a bit of a disaster with the sink got major cracks in it and so did the bath. To have a shower you had to turn it on at the switch outside the bathroom and turn it off when leaving as the switch on the shower was broken. To have a shower you had to hold the shower head up with your arm so it was possible. With a bit of TLC this could be an amazing apartment.

Cheap
Apartment was ok for what you pay for it, the two single beds that are advertised are a day bed and fold away bed in the living room. Big telly, but didn’t work, kept saying no Ariel connection, quite shabby in places, carpet, bath, sofas, but for somewhere cheap to lay your head for the night, was ok.

Did get the check instruction until late night before the day of check in. When we showed up to the room, it wasn't like we saw on the pictures. It looked old and uncomfortable. Heating doesn't work. Do not book with them.

Great location - and better than a room in a hotel
Great location for central Edinburgh. Stayed for three nights nd have stayed before. Good general facilities but no shower (tube shower attached to taps over bath don’t really work). Good value for an apartment with the self catering facilities compared to a hotel room.

We didnt stay it was to tired old dirty in places didnt look like the photos supplyed by expedia shame on you do not stay at the place and there management is shocking complete thuggery got no idea

This is not a hotel, just a terrible apartment
This is an apartment rented by somebody. There is no one to recieve you or your bags. The aparment is in an apartment building being renovated on the third floor. The person who rent it just answer the phone and tell you to come back later. Edinburgh is a very difficult city tonvisit carrying your bags with you. I can not understand why Expedia rents apartments. We ended up renting a room in a real hotel.

An okay stay for the price!
I've had worse stays and for its price I can't complain too much. The curtain poll collapsed during our stay (not the most modern decor inside)but this was fixed the same day. The shower is not at all powerful, so for women- good luck trying to wash your hair!

Comfortable stay
Appart from it not being clearly specified how to get in the building so I stood there for 3 minutes, the apartment was very neatly arranged, cozy and relaxing. I had a very nice stay and will recommend it to friends. Great for location and there is a Tesco right next to it.

Weekend citybreak
Me and my friend spent one night at this apartment which was really great, loved the location, property was clean and well-equipped however we would have appreciated some other bits and pieces (e.g. soap..), lucky enough there is a Tesco Express on the other side of the road that has made our life way easier.. :))) But there is a big problem with the shower as you can't use the shower head due to the broken hose and really poor water pressure. Was such a bad experience, would worth to get it fixed!!! Overall, we did really enjoy our stay, Edinburgh is just AMAZING, was love at first sight, will defo come back - hopefully soon. :) And we were so lucky with the weather, had a bright sunny weekend, thank you Edinburgh!! ^^

Very comfortable flat just minutes from the Royal Mile. Easy access (key left in safe) and pretty cheap for the location considering it's an apartment. No shower would be the only downfall.

Arrived at apartment and there was no sign so we're confused. Disgusting exterior, hall stunk of urine and room dusty and broken tiles and blinds. Wish I had taken photos before leaving to book into Travelodge.

Cheap and relatively cheerful, minus the bathroom
For us, a group of 4 recently graduated Theatre students who needed somewhere to crash during a long weekend at the fringe, the flat was just about OK. Highlight was the location - minutes away from the Mile and perfect for the majority of the venues and bars we go to up there. Beds were comfy enough, the whole apartment was relatively clean, kitchen all worked just about, it felt relatively safe and was quiet enough at night. We also found it pretty easy to find, unlike some of the other reviews, and the email instructions of how to get in was simple enough to follow. But if you are anything other than a group of young people looking for somewhere with a roof to sleep, I'd avoid if I'm honest. Not a relaxing or overly welcoming apartment - and the bathroom was simply not up to scratch, even for us. There was no lock on the bathroom door, and barely any hot water ever (even when we left it on for a couple of hours to heat up, it filled up about half a bath before going cold again). Water pressure was also a major issue - in order to make any water come out of the shower head, you had to sit in the bath. We ended up 'washing' by sticking our head under lukewarm water in the tap. Expect better than this, really, considering it was cheap - but not 'that' cheap. All in all, fine for somewhere to crash but I'd feel sorry for any family/etc. if they ended up there and was expecting a relaxing holiday in Edinburgh! Don't think you'll want to spend too much time there.

We walked up and down the street, looking for the Apartment Block which turned out to be 'council flats.' Having used Wotif for years I find it odd that Wotif allow this 'apartment' to be on their site. There are not any contactable staff and the owner did not answer his phone or reply to our email.

first of all even with a GPS it was difficult to find because the apartments are not marked with names and the addresses are not easy to see. I was traveling and w/o internet access, I was unable to check emails. An email was sent 2 days before my arrival, so I did not receive the email with the map and directions of how to get into the apt. I called the phone number provided to me when I booked. I called 4 times before I finally got to speak to a human. He directed me to the building and how to get in. Two days into our stay we came back to the apt. to have all of our things packed up and all of our things that had been in the shower were missing. When I tried repeatedly to speak with someone, no one ever answered the phone. I had to communicate strictly by email & was only able to do that if I had a hot spot or free wifi somewhere, because I have US service, not EU service. I was informed we were in the wrong apt. Since you can't speak w/anyone and NO ONE ever returned my numerous calls, even though I repeatedly left messages and asked for a call back in my emails, we took our things with us when we left that morning for sightseeing and returned that evening to the apt. we were suppose to be in. The bathroom was dirty, there was NO toilet paper or paper towels!! When I repeatedly asked, via email, "what about my missing things" it was never addressed. As soon as he received my email letting him know I returned his key for the wrong apt. I never heard back from him again!

Budget flat: be sure you have email
Location is the best thing about this converted council flat, a block off the Royal Mile & around the corner from Holyrood Palace, walkable from the train or a short taxi ride. The other apts are populated by students & pensioners. Online reviews of Aisha are awful and worse than the actual flat, which was not bad. It's not the Ritz, but neither is the price. Instructions say an email will be sent with a lockbox code. I was traveling from London via train and had no Internet when the email arrived the morning of my stay. I couldn't access the elusive email in Edinburgh. The owner would not answer his phone. After 2 hours, we caught him and got the access code. Hotels.com should have the lockbox code on file OR the owner should answer calls. The flat is up 2 long flights of steps and guests must clean it when they leave as signs posted throughout the apartment declare. No instructions are given regarding where to put trash, what to do with linens, just dire warnings that one's credit card will be charged if the staff must clean. We left it neat and swept with trash bagged and linens off the beds. Whoever preceded us left it similarly clean, but I had to wonder what it would have been like had the prior guests been sloppy? It was adequate. A Tesco is across the street. Stay here if you are on a budget and not too picky. And for goodness sake, be sure you have email.

The room we were in ran out of money on the gas card for the stove and the washing machine for clothing was not working from the time we arrived. Management informed us that there was plenty of money on the gas card when we contacted them but when I checked it was at zero. The location is very nice if you are interested in being close to the Royal Mile. Also the shower is just a tub with a detachable showerhead, no curtain.

Difficult to access, not well maintained
I had significant difficulty getting access to this this apartment, which is on the 2nd floor of a residential tenement flat. The contact telephone number was not answered for approximately three hours and there was no way to leave a message. The apartment was not well maintained and contained old, and well used, furniture. I would not recommend it.

Hyvä sijainti ajatellen keskeisiä nähtävyyksiä ja ruokapaikkoja. Mukavat ja lämpimät peitot. Majoittaja ystävällisesti reagoi ja laittoi oikean määrän vuoteita, koska ilmeisesti tieto ei ollut mennyt majoittuvien määrästä oikein. Huonoa sen sijaan oli rikkinäinen ikkunan sulkija ja puutteelliset ohjeet miten toimia sen kanssa. Samoin WC :n vetäminen oli haastavaa. Ensin luulimme ettei se toimi ollenkaan, majoittaja ohjeisti asiassa kun tästä ilmoitimme. Samoin huomautuksen voisi antaa ruuantekovälineistä, ne oli vanhoja naarmuilla , erityisesti paistinpannu. Samoin yksi keittiön laatikko oli ruuvattu kiinni, mutta se ei pysynyt niillä ruuveilla kiinni.

Cuando estábamos en el apartamento la dueña llegó y abrió con sus propias llaves para dejar sábanas para los siguientes inquilinos. Según entiendo, yo estoy rentando la propiedad y NADIE puede entrar. Considero que es una invasión a mi privacidad. Por otra parte, el baño muy viejo y sin regadera, solo con una pequeña regadera de teléfono con muy poca presión. La bañera resbalosa y sin tapete ni nada que prevenga una caída. En fin, no fue una buena experiencia.

Bon compris pour un séjour à Édimbourg.
Appartement très bien situé à quelques minutes à pieds du centre ville. 2 lits doubles et 2 canapés. Une supérette juste en face. Cuisine propre et fonctionnelle.Résidence sécurisée. 2 ème étage sans ascenseur. Problème de pression d'eau dans la salle de bain et quelques travaux de rafraichissement nécessaires pour rendre l'appartement encore plus agréable.

J’ai réservé pour 4 adultes mais il n’y a qu’un vrai lit pour 2 , dans le salon une banquette qui fait aussi office de lit 1 place et un tout petit canapé non convertible . Du coup j’ai dormis par terre . Appartement très froid et très compliqué à chauffer , le chauffage ne fonction pas ni dans la salle de bains ni dans le couloir . Côté cuisine pas de table pour pouvoir manger et seulement 2 chaises hautes avec une petite tablette contre un mur .appartement vétuste je Suis très très déçu

No voy a mencionar lo que no funciona como debería porque no soy quejica en ese aspecto, pero si tengo contratado el desayuno que deben dejarlo en la nevera, no hay nada, mando un mensaje al alojamiento y no contesta. Total, cinco noches, dos personas, diez desayunos pagados y no consumidos. No tiene justificación.

Bastante mediocre
Apartamento completo para una pareja con 1 o 1niño +1bebé pequeños, bien ubicado pero con un baño que necesita una reparación/reforma urgente. No tiene ascensor, estábamos en el segundo piso. Buena calefacción. Armarios salón y dormitorio desvencijados.
