New hotel, clean and great service from staff. We paid extra and got a beautiful hillside castle view, which was amazing to wake up to. Loved the coffee machine and free croissants in the morning. Free access to laundry machines was a big seller, though another guest put their shoes in and made a big mess (rude). Very convenient location, 5 minute walk from the train station. Located in the mall, there is easy access to anything you need and not far from historic areas. However, the mall can be really busy on the weekend, and even though there is ample security, a pick pocket followed us as we checked out and left the mall. Thanks staff for incredibly kind service!

The location is absolutely excellent. The rooms were nice and had all the necessary amenities. The room was a bit musty and could have been cleaner. Shower grout could use some bleach. Sofa bed was not comfortable but housekeeping brought a topper and then it was great. Fresh croissants every morning were delicious. For some stange reason housekeeping missed our room on our last full day but we were able to get fresh towells with no issues. Shared Laundry - people need to set a timer to remember to move their clothes so others can use the facilities! Edinburgh is a beautiful place to visit!

Park at St James square for discounted rate , location is great at the mall.. room was clean although would have been nice to have some complimentary water , arrived late and nothing to drink . Could have bought some at the reception but just the little touches missing for a higher end property

While it was bizarre being above a shopping mall, the hotel was great. We stayed in a mobility-accessible room which was filled with thoughtful design choices. Loved having the kitchenette, too.
