The young receptionist went out of her way to find me a room- not at the top of the hotel, and that was not near a noisy electric fan. The shower had a weak stream of water. The bed was fine but there were cup stains from a previous guest on the table next to the bed. The TV did not work. Grapefruit was advertised for breakfast but there was none. Overall it suited my need for a bed for the night after a friends party. But the hotel is ‘tired’ and could do with being updated.

Nothing to like , the hotel was dirty , dust everywhere, breakfast was a joke , ordered pot of tea on arrival , pot of tea never arrived until the crap breakfast was eaten , avoid this hotel it is rubbish , staff lie to you , rooms are nothing like the description given , only stayed 1 night of the 2 nights booked and awaiting a refund off expedia as hotel stated they would notify expedia of our short stay and refund 1 night B&B ..

I spent a night in a single room. The room was terribly furnished, old and smelled. The toilet seat was broken, and the floor uneven. The staff was very polite, and the location is very close to the pier.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was a good size and well maintained. Breakfast (on Saturday) was a little late (9 - 10am), but they did cook us a breakfast a little earlier as we had to be somewhere at 9.15, so they were obliging.

This hotel was good value for the money we paid. It was clean and basic. Don't expect any frills. The only issue and this is not the hotel's fault was the room was too hot. They kindly provided a fan. Also on the Sunday of our stay breakfast was a bit of touch and go. They were very busy but still not much organisation in terms of laying the tables, bringing tea and coffee to the table.

The couple that now have ownership of the hotel are super friendly and helpful ..lovely people nothing too much trouble ..Hotel itself well located etc but in need of modernisation in a couple of areas plus no evening chef at moment but they are actively looking

Shocked that with the COVID-19 , that on arrival we found our toilet was dirty with traces of faeces in bowl. No soap to wash our hands. Complained to reception, it was the poor receptionist who came to clean it. Probably wouldn’t have complained now but management were there in the morning and didn’t even apologise. When we booked out l mentioned it again, l said was you aware of our complaint and they said yes, then apologised. Felt they should have come to us.

We are sorry to see your review, unfortunately the housekeeping had gone by the time we were made aware of your issues, that is why the reception dealt with the issues. As a small family run business many of our staff work in multiple departments as we recover from being closed down for 4 months. Again in the morning, by the time I had been made aware of the issue you had checked out. We would normally offer to change rooms, but this was not possible with a fully booked hotel. We have reviewed how this was missed and implemented new checking procedures. Please accept our apologies and hope this does not deter you from visiting again.

Avoid and stay elsewhere. The hotel is a step back in time to a land that time forgot. There is a smell of damp throughout the hotel, there is no air con, no double glazing too keep out the noise, breakfast starts at 8am which is the latest i have encountered at a hotel, there are inadequate toiletries in the bathroom, there was a carrier bag in one of the drawers. I was offered a packed lunch to compensate for late breakfast but had paid for a breakfast i didn't get.

Hi Carol we are sorry to hear about your stay, I have spoken with our reception team on this matter. Firstly we are the new owners since July and busy making enhancements to the hotel, one of which is to open the restaurant for breakfast midweek earlier for guests. We thank you for your feedback and can only apologise we were not able to open earlier during your stay. If you had come to speak to us during your stay we would have worked to resolve these issues with you and offer you another room and would have looked into an alternative solution to your early breakfast request. A member of staff did come in early to make sure you received the pack lunch option you selected. We will be re-commencing the room refurbishment program in October and have marked the room you stayed in as a priority unit.
