“University Visit”

My son and I stayed in this hotel when on an overnight visit to Hull University. The hotel is clean modern and well situated. It is 2 or 3 miles from the University. We found it easily although did not get to it immediately as it is only accessible from one side of a dual carriage way and we missed the first turning. It is right in a new shopping centre which means that there is easy access to shops, cafes, cinema etc. You park in the shopping centre multi story car park and pay in the hotel as you leave (7 GBP for the night) Despite the location our room was quiet. Breakfast was fine with a choice of hot and cold food - strangely sausages but no bacon though. The beds were not brilliant but OK for a single night. Perfect for our needs and very reasonably priced.

“A Good Night”

Stayed for one night whilst visiting HYMS at the university. Good clean room and comfortable bed. Only had bed and breakfast so can not comment on the quality of food served at the bar

“Hull Experience”

Cost of room was OK and there was an additional charge for parking which was OK. Room was clean and had all the basic requirements. Bathroom was a bit small with no bath - but the shower was good and powerful. The bathroom was also clean. Hotel was quite noisy (thin walls). But overall the room and hotel was good for the rate. Breakfast was dreadful, cheap and very limited in choice - this I do not recommend. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel is very well located and is relatively new.

“No Problems staying here”

Hotel is modern, clean and well kept. Don't let the fact that the car park is a multi-storey city centre affair, once inside, I drove round to the hotel entrance and parked within only a few paces of it. Parking does, however, cost £4 payable on checking out but breakfast is included in the room tariff so I think that more than balances things out. You can access the adjacent shopping centre, which has cinema and restaurants, very easily from the hotel via the car park. The only minor complaint in the room was the towels, they are past their best, they were clean, but rather thin and rough. Other than that not much wrong with the whole experience.

“Holiday Inn Express - does what it says on the tin !”

Moved here after staying in a hotel in North Ferriby for one night. It was appaling so had to make a quick decision as to where to stay for the extra night. Chose the HI Express due to its location, price, and quality brand. Not let down, very good, modern hotel located in the heart of Hull.

“Brilliant for green travellers”

If you are 60 or over, get the most fun legally available by using the train to visit Hull ( using your senior railcard to the station 100 yards from the hotel, use the buses ( free with an over 60 bus pass ) from the same station and enjoy the benefits of free WiFi. Hull offers an unique local culture, the ambience of a city with a significant fishing history, a proud record in the fight to abolish slavery and warm-hearted people with a sense of humour who clearly love shopping. The hotel is very new and is built into St Stephen's Precinct with three good restaurants, a supermarket and a cinema on site.

“Excellent Hotel”

Had a great stay at the hotel! Very friendly staff, Lovely clean room. Found it really good that you could order food from outside and eat in the hotel dinning area or in your room, after a very long day this was very welcome. Will certainly be using the hotel in the near future.

“Would stay again”

The Hotel is clean and the rooms are comfy. I found the staff and the people of Hull extremely friendly and helpful. Finding the car park is a bit daunting but once you have it is very roomy and easy to park. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant the ones in the shopping mall which you access from the carpark were fine.
