"The accommodation was quite nice although the carpets were heavily stained. I think the Gold club should stick to golf as their hospitality is shocking. We arrived early as we were meeting friends. Great stay, exceptionally clean hotel

"Beautiful hotel and a lovely stay despite ongoing construction works. We stayed on a Friday night and were mostly unaffected - some areas of the hotel were clearly ready to be updated but the facilities we used were brilliant. Our room was a river view and the balcony was not yet ready to be used. The room itself was a standard size but the cleanliness is what made it a great stay. We really appreciated the robes and slippers for using the onsite pool and spa. We absolutely loved the outdoor pool, it’s a shame we couldn’t use it past checkout time on our departure day as it had closed when we checked in on the Fri early evening. The breakfast is a higher price but we felt it was good value for money with what was available. We hope to visit again and make the most of the grounds and local area. Breakfast staff were the friendliest staff members we met during our stay. "
