A great apartment, a great host. Well equipped, well located, an easy walk to all the sites of the city.

Went during a very hot part of the year, AC worked great, basic but useful kitchenette, balcony lovely and other amenities swimming pool was great and simply didn't have time to use sauna etc. Parking nice and easy

5 star building with 2 star staff behaviour. 1. At check in they didn't bother to explain about parking, breakfast, etc. 2. The room was badly cleaned for 3 days, despite my calls to reception the manager never bother to call me back 3. Do not waste your money on a balcony room, the view is towards an industrial zone 4. I needed a taxi one night and the receptionist called a taxi that didn't take credit card payments, only cash or Monzo transfer, at 300% the app taxi cost. Obviously a side business from the receptionist. 5. The hotel is boring. No real pool, beach lounges on a dirty grass, no ambient music, no possibility of snack on the beach.

We stayed for five nights in one of the apartments in the main Residence Superior Del Mar complex, separate from the hotel itself. One of the biggest positives was the smaller pool, which was right outside our villa. It was a good size, much quieter than the main pool, and made for a really relaxing place to spend time. The villa itself was comfortable but could definitely do with some attention. Our shower flooded regularly, the front door became difficult to open and close during our stay, and there were a few areas where the walls were chipped or damaged. The bedding was also frustrating, as the sheets wouldn’t stay on the bed, so we often ended up sleeping directly on the mattress. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, but we were surprised there was no oven, which would have made self-catering much easier. The location is excellent, with two beaches within easy walking distance. Just be aware that there were jellyfish around during our visit, so it’s worth checking conditions before heading into the sea. We visited the main hotel pool once, but it wasn’t really for us. It was very busy with families and young children, and the organised aqua fitness sessions with loud music made it feel quite hectic. We much preferred the quieter pool by our apartment. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the location and the peaceful smaller pool, but there are a number of maintenance issues and missing facilities that mean there’s definitely room for improvement
