“Poor service”

I was initially impressed by the hotel but this quickly changed once I realised I had no hot water in my room. I reported this to reception and four hours later the repairman stated he needed to change the heating system and it would take an hour - this was at ten o'clock at night!! It was only after I complained that I was offered another room - this is when reception told me the hotel was fully booked and I could only have a single bed or a smoking room. Neither of which was acceptable to me - only after creating a fuss did I finally get a room comparable to the one I had booked. The new room was fine until I got into bed and realised that the duvet cover only covered half the duvet with the rest of it ripped and hanging off the end of the bed - there is no way housekeeping could not have noticed this when making the bed!! All in all a very disappointing stay and one I won't be repeating.

“Convenient, Practical, with All Amenities”

“fantastic hotal and location”

we would definately stay there again, the staff were all lovely and helpful,nothing was a problem, very very clean, great location, the best beds and pillows, i have never slept on a pillow like that, i actually emailed the hotel asking where i could buy one. but i havent received a reply, they are made by one for the master, which sounds australian, where we come from. the guys on the door, you couldnt fault their service, efficiency nor their sense of humour. they were fun, they jumped to to assist you, as soon as the elevator door opened, they were watching and leaping to assist. will definately stay there again.

Area recommendations
exactly where we stayed, the location is perfect, close to everything, the bur dubai markets, as we stayed in the downtown,bur dubai, sheration, four points. am glad i chose this location and hotel, very very clean, even though we didnt want our towels changed, they still changed them. we didnt have a power adaptor, immediately they lent us one to charge our phones, we returned it and they told us to hand it in when we departed, but we on;y needed to charge our phone and thought that someone else mihght need to use it to. very helpful staff.
Getting around
we used the taxi service as we were only there for 36 hours, not lng enough, next time we will use the bus service, train service, bus service, which all looks very organised and efficient, the Dubai mall is a must, the night dinner cruise is fanatastic, as is the tour of dubai, the bur dubai markets, we crammed alot inot the time we were ther, we didnt realise how much there is to see and do. we did want to go on the safari dinner, but had no time

“Convinient location, clean and good service.”

We stayed for three nights on a leisure trip. We rented two classical rooms which were interconnected. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Bathrooms are also big. The staff is friendly. The parking with hotel is free and vallet service is mandatory. The location is good as you may travel to any attraction easily. But the views are not great as it is located in a residential area with buildings surrounding the hotel. We got low price because of summer and booking through Expedia and it was good value for money. But during peak season it might be expensive.

Area recommendations
Ferrari World-good for teenagers. Has world's fastest roller coaster. Lost chambers aquarium-some of the fish here are not present in other aquariums. Burj Khalifah-world's tallest building and its fountain show.
Getting around
When renting a car in Dubai, you MUST check the vehicle completely yourself as Dubai car rental dealers are very strict with even a very small scratch. So be careful and inspect your car after every parking particularly if you are using vallet parking.

“Not in 'downtown' but a nice hotel”

The hotel's name is 'Downtown Dubai', but we did not see a 'downtown during our walk in the vicinity. Not sure where 'downtown' is but it is certainly not close to the hotel! However breakfast was very nice and our room was spacious, so if you don't need a good location, the hotel is acceptable.

Area recommendations
We did not see enough of Dubai to be able to recommend an area - except to say the area of the hotel is not recommended!

“Quality hosting for your money”

Great hotel with all ammenities needed, located in the old downtown, not close to the recent developments but has free shuttle to Dubai Mall-Bru Kalifa Tower. Just around the corner from Burjaman Mall. Taxi to the marina is about 55 Dirhams, to Dubai Mall about 25 dierhams. Full buffet breakfast with wide variety of choices. Clean room with A/C, TV, Phone, Wired Internet, etc. Room service is great. In summary, a great hotel in a good location, with great food all this at low cost. Recommended.

“Great Hotel and Room”

We arrived in the hotel and immediately greeted by the concierge who took our bags. Check-in was pleasant although we didnt relaise that 200dhs a day were needed as deposit, this wasnt a major issue. The room was a large room with kitchen, lounge area and king bed, ideal for the stay. It was cleaned every day and immaculate. The location was a little out of the way due to the heat but taxis are easy and cheap to get to the main areas. I would definately stay here again and recommend to others.

“All that we expected”

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days and it was a family holiday with children. The hotel is well located and it was quite easy transiting to and from the hotel. Taxis are available easily at the hotel gates. The room service was very fast and we were quite impressed with the service. The staff were very polite and efficient. The swimming pool on the roof was excellent although too hot during the day. The Baby pool was also quite nice. Overall it was a memorable stay.

Area recommendations
Bur Dubai...well located....
Must see
Deira Gold Souk...even if you are not buying ...just have a look...try the Local Boats..Abra in front of Gold Souk...to get back to Bur Dubai...we chanced upon it and enjoyed it thoroughly...

The 360 Night club at Jumeirah .. great view of Dubai at night...next to Burj Arab

“Happy Customer”

Very good hotel, clean, staff were helpful, Good "Pub" on site for a drink. Metro was further away than we were lead to believe its about a 20minute walk and on the main road where the "Big Bus" tour bus stops.But that was Ok especially as there is no crime you dont feel threatened if its later in the evening when walking back Could not fault the hotel met all our requirements and would stay there again.

Area recommendations
Dubai Mall was good, plaenty to do with leisure and shopping, nice resteraunts and the dancing fountains were good

“Dubai- Downtown Sheraton”

Great hotel for families and business travelers. A bit of a drive to the beach, but there is a free shuttle. Would stay there again.
