“Perfect for families”

Having stayed in quite a few 5 star hotels in Europe and USA I can honestly say this is the best we have experienced. The room was very large and of a very high standard with amazing views of The Gulf and Burj Al Arab. There were lots of nice extras included such as cuddly toys for children, complimentary bottled water, chocolates and fruit in the room and free internet access. The quality of service was outstanding. Staff were friendly, helpful and did their jobs extremely well. We didn't have time to try all of the restaurants but the ones that we did were excellent. The breakfast buffet is outstandingly good with an amazing choice of food. It's true that food and drink here are a bit expensive but considering the high quality it is well worth the price.

Area recommendations

The Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world) and the neighbouring Dubai Mall have to be seen to be believed.

Getting there

We booked a return transfer (using an independent transfer company's internet site) from the airport to the hotel which turned out to be a waste of time and money. Local cabs were cheaper and more reliable.

Other

We left a tip for the staff cleaning our room each day and we were rewarded with an amazingly good standard of service. Use the free buggy service to visit the neighbouring Jumeirah Hotels (Madinat, Al Qasr, Mina Salam) where you will find a Souk and lots of nice places to eat and drink.

“Dubai's best hotel for Location & Quality of Service & Accommodation”

I would highly recommend being collected by the Hotel from the airport, step out of door after customs & Jumeriah Beach Hotel counter is the 1st to be seen as you come through and will have your name in big letters, which is nice after long flight - simple things and makes you feel special. On arrival at Hotel you are greated by your name and check in is the most friedliest experience. Starts the stay off very well. Exceptional location and service 2nd to none, accommodation is to the highest standard & on site facilities are great - you do not have to leave the hotel complex as everything is catered for. Food & Service at any of the restaurants is to the highest standard globally and will satisfy visually & taste sublime.. White Sandy beaches & Burj Al Arab (7 Star Hotel) as you wake up in the morning is breathtaking. Very Family friendly hotel and with access included to Wild Wadi (water theme park) the Kids & Adults will be kept fully entertained.

Area recommendations

Would highly recommend jumping in a taxi and seeing the main attractions in Dubai. 10,000 taxi's to cater for Dubai alone - so no long waits and all speak very good English and are very polite. Ski Dubai and Mall of Emirates for shopping is but a 5 min taxi drive and can be seen easily for the Hotel. Dubai Mall at the base of the Burj Khalifa (Tallest building in the world) is also a 10 - 15min taxi ride. Take one of the night boat cruises, great views and food package. Go to "The Walk" on Jumeirah beach - 10 mins in Taxi, nice area to walk around and have very varied food options and more of a boardwalk feel and some of the cars to see at night is incredible (Can get busy traffic though - but still recommend). Car hire from Hotel Eurocar is also recommended and is but a small trip to go through to Abu Dhabi and maybe a visit to Ferrari World & new F1 race track.

When to go

September to March for most suitable climate, gets a lot hotter during the Summer months, but enough Air Conditioning in Hotel, so is still ok and with the 3 swimming pools is acceptable outdoors also.

Getting there

I have flown on Emirates & KLM and would recommend any of them, on arrival you will see the fantastic airport & efficient service. Made to feel very welcome.

Getting around

As mentioned there are around 10,000 taxi's to support just Dubai, so very easy & cost effective, with very polite & knowledgeable drivers. New Mono rail is also an alternative and stretches from Airport to the Atlantis on the Jumeirah Palm.

“Way passed its prime, expensive food, patchy service”

The hotel needs a major overhaul. The decor is tired and dated. I did not get the room I ordered in that I ordered a double and got a twin . They promised to change the bed when I checked in. After a week they had not. I should have complained but I did not have the energy as I was on a very busy work schedule. The food is very expensive eg 30 Euro for breakfast. 55 Euros for a ruined steak and two beers and generally just OK. Some things were awful like the chicken burger for 18 Euros at the pool, it was horrible. The arabic grill was though very nice Up to the weekend the service was all excellent then with the extra volume it just fell away. I waited 30 mins fo a menus at the pool with a client then 45 mins more to get my order taken. On the good side the staff were all nice. Lots of cold lollies being given out. Service in the uptown bar on the roof was excellent. My colleague lost his credit card and the concierge did a fantastic job finding it. So good on him. The rates now are pretty good The wild wadi is very good Overall stay at the Atlantis for fun or any of the newer 5 * hotels for business like the bonnington

June is way way way too hot for a holiday, it was 45 degrees C . Winter Autumn *fall* much better

“The best hotel in Dubai very well located. Amazing facilities”

Our experience was fantastic and we had a very nica stay there. They give us a marvelous room with a view to the Marina and Burj Al Arab. We almost cant sleep looking that beautiful landscape over the Gulf. It's was a unique experience be there and we recommend this hotel for everyone.

Area recommendations

The Jumeirah and Palm Jumeirah are definitely the best location to stay in Dubai. Close to the ocean, with a beautiful views, close to the shopping malls and a very elegant location. Worth every dollar spent!

Best during fall or winter when the temperature is ranges between 30 to 45C. In summer could reach 54C

“Luxury by the beach”

Absolutely loved this hotel and have returned 3 times now. Pool area is great and wild wadi water theme park is fun and excellent for kids and adults. Sunset drinks at the marina 360 bar watching the lights of the city come on lounging on the outdoor furniture over the water was special. They even sent champagne and a birthday cake to our room as it was my birthday!!
