Pros: Convenience
Ask if there is construction or window cleaning near your room. We had both and it was noisy at night.

Great hotel

Posted 11-Apr-2014
Pros: Rooms
Cons: Nothing
Location: Lots
I was on a business trip but this would also be a great place to stop in for a few days. Really nice rooms, you walk straight into the mall, go skiing, nice pool and the spanish restaurant is great, even has jamon.

Non smoking room is full of smoke smell

Posted 05-Apr-2014
Pros: The staff at the brunch was unpleasant the first day but after making a comment to the manager about it, the staff was much better the next two days,
Cons: The non smoking rooms need to be non smoking
Location: Centrally located in Dubai and the mall of emirates is great for kids
We were not impressed with the smell of the room. We even changed our room and the new room smelled like smoke as well.

Very Impressed

Posted 04-Apr-2014
Pros: The staff and the convenience of being so close to the Mall of the Emirates.
Cons: Include information (costs, types) transportation to and from the airport at their websites. On-line information on tours.
Location: I enjoyed the Hop On, Hop Off (Big Bus Tour) especially the night tour.
The hotel is conveniently located to many attractions and the mall is literally right next door. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was well worth the upgrade. I would definitely stay there again.

Next to Mall of the Emirates and Ski Dubai

Posted 29-Mar-2014
Pros: Very friendly service and great food. Pool area is very nice but sun doesn't get to it for a while because of tall buildings.
Cons: they need to do something about those ski chalets which are delightful but too cold.
Location: We went on the yellow boat at the marina and had afternoon tea at Burj Kaliffa. We took the metro (just a walk through the Mall to get to it).
We paid the early arrival supplement for a ski chalet room. Lovely people at check in and we were given an upgrade to a duplex ski chalet. After 2 nights there we were cold (as the double length windows look right into Ski Dubai) so we were moved to a suite which was exceptional and bigger than a flat in England. !! We were also given access to the 11th floor area - superb repeat superb breakfast. we didn't use it for afternoon tea or evening drinks but we could have.

Nice hotel

Posted 17-Mar-2014
Pros: Connects to the mall.
Cons: Room cleanliness.
Nice hotel and friendly staff. However, room could have been cleaned better, found dust and glasses were still dirty. There was a constant rattling and buzzing sound near the bed coming from the wall(which I think was from the AC). I told the front desk about it, they "fixed" it, and it was fine for a few hours, then continued again. It would have been better if they moved me to another room.

Luxurious metropolitan hotel

Posted 16-Mar-2014
Pros: Very nice room decorations bath design and fine toiletries.
Cons: Valet parking is far from the front drivers, it needed long time to retrieve my car. Needs closer parking and/or distant drivers.
Location: Mall of Emirates
Luxuriously furnished hotel with vary friendly staff. hotels amenities are less that other luxury hotels, relatively medium sized pool and no beach. Has direct access to mall of Emirates.

Fantastic Customer Service and Rooms

Posted 11-Mar-2014
Pros: Wonderful staff and rooms, breakfast and facilities
Cons: Potentially more prompt response to some service requests (we requested a roll away bed for our 4-year old which took a few hours to be delivered)
Location: Ski Dubai and the Mall of the Emirates are awesome - also close by the Metro if needed to travel around Dubai
Having been significantly delayed by our airline (do NOT fly Emirates!), the Kempinski was a godsend! Every understanding staff / management managed to check us in at 6am (instead of the required 3pm) and really made us feel so welcome after our terrible ordeal with Emirates. Service that really touched us and our family and will be long remembered was also matched by the beautiful hotel and facilities.
