great resort on the beach..

Posted 09-Oct-2014
Pros: We liked the location and friendly staff.
Cons: Our room was a superior suite on the the executive floor which was very large but would benefit being modernised would not choose this type again...
Location: We stayed in the resort but there were plenty of activities available we just wanted to relax and enjoy the good weather.
A very enjoyable relaxing holiday very friendly and helpful staff we had the all inclusive package which worked out well and we could dine in all the restaurants apart for the Asian.

Beachfront hotel

Posted 05-Oct-2014
Pros: Everything.
Location: Location is rather distant from everything else.
This is really great hotel to stay in Dubai. I can't praise it high enough. This is very good resort, with own beach, several waterpools, big sunbath area, golf area, and good variety of activities on site. Excellent buffet restaurant. Resort have several restaurants on site, but since had short stay, i used only buffet one. But buffet variety in that one is excellent. You should have in mind, however, that resort is not in the middle of Dubai. Its Jebel Ali area, which is rather distant located from city center, and from nearest metro as well. But hotel does provide free shuttle service, with bus departing to various spots in the city with about 7 departures during the day, including Atlantis the Palm destination. On the other hand resort is excellent escape place after spending day in exploring various Dubai destinations. Rooms are also very nice. Clean, comfortable bed. I can't really say anything bad about resort. It's overall well worth a visit. Recommend it very high.

A great hotel with excellent facilities

Posted 28-Sep-2014
Pros: Everything! Particularly the quality of the restaurants in both food and service.
Cons: More live music in the Sunset lounge.
Location: The location is out of the city but still within easy reach of the Malls either by free hotel shuttle bus or by taxi.
We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel. It sits beautifully at the beach with extensive gardens and grassy areas with lots of sunbeds and parasols - no fighting for a bed here at any time of the day. The restaurants are many and varied and the quality of food is exceptional in each one. The staff are most helpful and attentive. The 'all inclusive' option is very extensive. Rooms are serviced well and the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel is high.

A Wonderful Hotel by the Beach

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: We particularly liked the buffet restaurant, beach bar and restaurant, and the warm and friendly staff. This hotel provides total relaxation.
Cons: Changes from our previous visits weren't so good. Hotel now divided into 4star and 5star with some pools 'no go' to 4star, and a fence down the beach.
Location: A somewhat isolated hotel location but karting, shooting, sea-plane rides, camel rides, gym and 9 hole golf.
We booked 'all inclusive' at the Jebel Ali and had a fantastic holiday. The weather was predictably perfect and the hotel comfortable, well run, beautifully located and has wonderful food. Its important to note that this hotel is some way outside Dubai so getting to the malls is either by the hotel shuttle bus or taxi. The staff are superb and always genuinely cheerful and helpful. We didn't get to use the sports facilities but I spoke to one of the staff who told me that they have the very highest calibre golfers (eg Mr Woods) staying at the hotel and using the beautiful 9 hole course. I would recommend the 'all inclusive' package as the food and drinks that it provides are more than adequate for most people.

First class hotel

Posted 26-Sep-2014
We have just got back after our stay in September. We stayed fully inclusive which was worth every penny. We also upgraded from the Jebel Ali Hotel, to the Palm Court Hotel, which is its 5* sister hotel next door. Again worth every penny. I'm sure we would have been very comfortable in the Jebel Ali hotel, but we didn't like the balconies which you can only stand up in, and the hotel was too big for our taste. ( just a personnel thing). Palm Tree was much smaller, looked nicer, and the rooms and surrounding gardens with it's many streams and waterfalls, made it a much nice place than Jebel Ali. We had a fabulous time, and will definitely go back, however we would give it a wide berth in peak times, as I would imagine it could get extremely busy.

Lovely experience.

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Pros: The food and the area.
Cons: Update the rooms.
Location: Location is 30 minutes out of Dubai, which we thought was a problem at first but soon realized we had the best of both worlds.
Good company and a lovely hotel on the beach. Two lovely pools with swim up bars, which is a plus with the hottest weather I have ever known.

Great family stay

Posted 10-Sep-2014
Pros: The food, general ambience and staff.
Cons: the view (but the hotel can do nothing about that!).
Location: The resort is isolated and not in central Dubai and you are looking at a 30 minute/90 Dirham cab ride to Dubai Mall.
Booked a week here as I needed to be in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai for business and the resort is a convenient mid-point (sort of - if you don't know Dubai the resort is not central and is a good half hour cab ride from the centre of town and very much set on its own). The family came with me for a holiday. Cannot fault the resort for a family stay. The main hotel is impeccably kept but slightly older than many in Dubai, its none the worse for that and it probably made for a more relaxed feel. Grounds and pool attractive and well tended and the food was exceptional. I don't think the hotel was especially full that week which made it all the more peaceful and relaxing. The private Beach is clean and pleasent, however the view out to sea looks over the container port in the distance on one side and the incomplete Jebal Ali Palm Island on the other so no clear blue horizon, but that is the only criticism I could muster. Lots of nice touches like the free beach camel rides, little teddies given to my youngest child by housekeeping etc. All in all would thoroughly recommend and would hope to return.
