The internet was the worst, they didn't know what a washcloth was. The concerige wasn't there and the staff didn't know that they were off that day, they said they were out to lunch. They didn't let us know that there was a holiday and no drinks would be served even if that was true you should have still had ladies night no matter what the drink was.

Horrible hotel...!

Posted 01-Jun-2014
Though I landed at the reception at 3pm the rooms were not ready.... They promised to have the room ready in 45mnts but I cud only get my room at 5.30pm. The rooms are very congested which is not sufficient for 2 people also.... if ur staying single then it's ok but if ur having company then best of luck.... food is very costly... The guests have to pay to enter the disco club pluz only couple entry. Location wise u r far from everything. The only thing close to u is the beach but it's useless in dubai's weather. .. The worst thing was this hotel dint arrange a airport pick up also even after sending mails to them for which I never received any reply.... All in all the most WORST experience. ..

Good hotel, not the best location!

Posted 18-May-2014
Well yes the hotel is right next to the beach. In its own, it is a great place with everything; spa, pools, private beach, gym etc. But if you are looking to be close to the main holiday areas of Dubai, like the Burj hotel, Atlantis etc, are all on the far other side of the town. Otherwise it is not a bad hotel at all.

Nice resort, right on the beach

Posted 15-May-2014
Pros: Restaurants are great, so is the gazeebo on the beach. Beach is clean, and so are the pools
Cons: Room service at night takes time
Location: Jumeirah Mosque - which allows non Muslims (with prior appointments). The promenade is nice
We were a family of 4 (teenage daughter, 7 year son) and we had a great time. Though we just stayed for 1 night, we checked in early and was able to enjoy the property. Property is clean, green and at a good location. Worth the money!

Think it need a face lift not really 5 star

Posted 31-Mar-2014
Pros: The Thai resturant and the spa
Cons: To be looked after on arrival better. And to up grade the facilities to 5 star expecially the reception and lounge bar area.
Location: Nice location and near most sites
Arrived very early due to the flight, it was raining very bad, and we were left soaking wet for 6 hours in the reception, they gave us a discount of 50 dirhams off the breakfast but that was it. I rang Expedia to see about changing hotels, but was told thy would charge me for the 3 nights So we decided to stay the night and see what the next day brings. Expedia spoke o the hotel and they then made the room available. The weather was much better next day, and the hotel and staff did redeem themselves. But I do not think we will stay there again. The best feature was the Thai Bistro the food was amazing, the spa was also great.

Nice place to stay

Posted 19-Jun-2013
Pros: It was so self contained, resort, beach, restaurants and quiet.
Cons: The oppressive heat of Dubai when outside.
Location: Great location, close to city, airport and seaside.
The staff were so caring and did there best to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Unfriendly Staff

Posted 05-Jun-2013
Pros: location
Cons: Staff
Location: Good..
Staff were not rude, but they were not helpful at all. They did there job, but did not go out of there way and were unfriendly. If you don't mind being woken up at 4 am onwards by the mosque across the road with their prayers over the louad speaker, then this might be the hotel for you.

ageing two star hotel with unfriendly and incompet

Posted 28-Mar-2013
Pros: food
Cons: service. everything looks old and in the need of replacement.
Location: far from everything
It is advertised as a five star hotel just because a local sheikh gave it five stars. The unfortunate reality is that it is an ageing two star hotel with unfriendly and incompetent staff. English speaking tourists represent less than 5% of visitors. The rest is Russians and other GCC countries residents. Too loco.

Great location for Jumeirah and the city and also a private beach. The villa hotel complex looks fantastic on the outside but the rooms and amenities inside are dated. Excellent restaurants on the complex but the breakfast restaurant was tired, dark with below par service. We went over the road to the Lime Tree Cafe as a preference for breakfast. We were given two rooms but in adjacent blocks rather than together as requested.Weak service in the lobby/concierge was countered by excellent service round the pools. This place post a revamp could be exceptional.

February was a good time to go

Positives: Perfectly positioned for sight seeing, close to airport, good bus service and taxis always available. Good room, restaurants, pool, friendly staff, all speak English. Good for a holiday destination. Few Negatives: Extra for balcony is a waste of money as is internet which is free! Don't pre-order airport taxi, save money and hassle.
