“A very noisy hotel!!!”
I checked in and everything seemed to be fine until like 7pm! It seems that they were having a Birthday party in the function room right under my room... I complained and they had me re-located to a quiet room which turned out to be a smoking room.. Yet I complained that I would like a non smoking room since the room wreaked of cigarette smell! They moved me again to another room on the 4th floor which was also very noisy as the sound of the music playing in the function room can be clearly heard!! This will be the last time I check in to such a hotel!! and I do not recommend it in any way not unless you are a heavy sleeper!
“fine”
No hot water!!
“COLD SHOWERS, COLD FOOD, STALE OREOS...MILDEW IN SHOWER NOT 5 STAR”
My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights, was looking forward to some home-like comforts as we live on base and feel the need for a small get away. Check in was a hassle...the front desk tried to give us two twin beds and then further didnt understand why our visas were not stamped that day! Have not had that problem with any other hotel! Hotel was nice inside..but, I don't hang out in the lobby...I care more about the room. Room was smaller than the Century Hotel, which I have also stayed in, and is a 4 star..same price...much better! Our room was ok, nothing special. Ordered dinner, food was not warm at all. The quality of the meat was good (Steak) but the vegetables were all under cooked and cold. Evening shower was fine....but some mold in the corner and along the shower curtain. Hardly any English TV channels that were not news. Bed was comfortable--although the Century Hotel was way better! Morning breakfast was good. The Shower was COLD! I HAD GOOSE BUMPS THE WHOLE TIME! Dinner, again not hot, the caesar salad was so bland. 2nd morning shower again COLD! and it never got warm. We told the front desk on the way out of the issues, and left a comments form with them and all they had to say was "oh sorry to hear that" have a nice day. I would rather have stayed at the Century again even though they did not have the 24hr room service up and functioning 100% at the time. Oh and, the Oreos in the room / mini bar were stale and soggy! This was not 5 star quality.
“Hot and cold water”
The water system in the Millennium has a lot to be desired. While you take a shower, the water will go from really hot to really cold. This is very unpleasant.
“The hotel was very good; getting there was a problem”
The hotel is very good. The staff are friendly and courteous, and the room I was given (which was an upgrade, I was informed by the person who checked me in) was well-appointed. I was there during Ramadan, and stayed only between my flights (8:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.), but I was able to sleep without any interruption. It is more than 1/2 hour from the airport, however, so, as an airport hotel it has limitations.
“One night in Doha”
Took reception about 10 minutes to sort out the expedia booking, but most places seem to have that problem, and I was given a nice drink while I waited. Beautiful hotel, nice spa facilities, but as with most places in Doha, you have to use a car to get anywhere, so nothing much around the hotel that you can walk to. I would use it again, but then I am only staying a night or two for business.
“shoddy service for a 5* hotel”
The hotel itself is good but the service is pretty ropey. They didn't have any coffee in the rooms, apparently Doha has run out so I had to go and buy a jar of Nescafe from a local shop. It took 3 phone calls and 2 hours to get some more bottled water to the room. It is very difficult to get a hotel car, even when I booked an airport drop they double booked me and the car wasn't there. Very reluctantly the bell boy brought me a taxi from the road. It's really not 5* service which is a shame because the hotle s nice.
“Very Convenient”
The hotel was very convenient in all aspects. The service was very professional. Room service was very efficient and food was very good. The spa area was fabulous.
“excellent service”
i wish to place on record the superb services extended during my last stay at millenium doha i wish to compliment the sfaff of the hotel for making it a warm experience
“Not what I expected from a 5 star hotel”
The main gripe being that the hotel is dry. Never mentioned anywhere when booking that this was the case. Very important when entertaining clients!
