"Beautiful, well located boutique hotel"
The architecture and public areas are very attractive. The staff is really friendly and knew my name upon arrival. I was greeted with a cool, fresh drink, and in my room were grapes and a dessert tray. My room was large, comfortable (and, not insignificantly in Doha) very well air-conditioned. The bed and bedding in particular were very, very comfortable. The swimming pool is nice. Most of the pool area is often in shade, so if you are looking to get some sun, that can be a little difficult, depending on the time of day. Nice gym too. I thought the breakfast buffet was quite good. I had trouble getting the in room WiFi to work, but there were free computers available for use in the Executive Lounge, which was close to my room. The location of the hotel was also excellent. Probably the three best sights in Doha are the Souq Waqif, the Corniche, and the Museum of Islamic Arts. The hotel is right in the Souq, a five minute walk to the Corniche, and a fifteen minute walk to the Museum. The hotel is also close to the bus station; even if you don't use the local buses (which are nice and modern, though the station is a tad chaotic), there are lots of taxis there. This hotel arguably deserves five stars, but I subtracted one because service could be a little inconsistent (i.e. sometimes no towels at pool, days without newspaper delivery to room, one day where housekeeping didn't clean the room until late in the day). Overall though a great stay.
