“The Fine Futures Inn, Plymouth”

Friendly staff, clean well thoughtout rooms with free internet, tea and coffee in your room. Bit disapointed with the gym: 2 bikes 2 Rowing machines 2 Eliptical Trainers But good enough for a cardio workout. With plenty of parking and the facilities on-site, I will be going back.

“Average”

Nice hotel, spacious, reasonably priced. But no WIFI in rooms, no fridge.

“Is this the future?”

Brilliant hotel run by very well trained management and staff. The reception is very efficient and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. The bathroom is functional and kitted out with the very best German brand of plumbing which works beautifully. The television incorporates a crude internet feature with a blue tooth miniature keyboard, but it is totally disfunctional and impossible to use in any satisfactory manner. The free broadband connection had a faulty plug and the receptionist offered to provide a seperate cable to try. The biggest criticism is the restaurant which is expensive and utterly pathetic. Avoid eating there unless you have no other option. It will inevitably lead to disappointment. Overall a great place to stay and I will certainly return. But I'll check that the broadband connection is working first and I'll eat out. Period!

Area recommendations
The hotel is beside the A386 which leads north out of the city giving easy access in either direction. The ease with which one can reach the centre of Plymouth is dependent on the time of day, so journey times can vary between ten minutes and 40 minutes during rush hour. Head for the Barbican to find the best restaurants but parking is difficult at all times. Motorists beware. Plymouth is one of the least car friendly cities anywhere. Gatso speed cameras by the hundred and traffic lights at every junction and roundabout which are totally unco-ordinated make driving rather frustrating. Parking is awkward and very expensive. The recently opened and hideous Drake Centre shopping mall is populated by the same high street chains to be found everywhere in Britain and has little to commend it, although it is worth seeing it from the Charles Church roundabout direction if only to admire the apalling architecture of the facade.

“Good and Bad”

This hotel is new and about 7 miles outside the town centre. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. the decor is modern and neat. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful (Especially Cheryl who is great!) However the Pillows on the bed are hard and not of good quality. The Breakfast was very disappointing and was of poor quality and had to queue for 30 mins for the Buffet style only to find that most items had run out - better bet is to go to the nearby Mcdonalds (cheaper, quicker and better quality!)

“I'll use it again”

A very pleasant 1 night stay. I was concerned initially at the hotel's location, on the outskirts of town, but now I think it is ideal. Because of the excellent roads leading into town and to it's east-west extremities it only took us 10 minutes to get to our meeting place. Great place.

“future inn plymouth”

As previous people have said rooms are spacious and clean. ours was 122 on first floor. view over a car park, but we were there only one night so it didnt matter.Nice quiet room. tea and coffee was welcome in room. booked a breakfast fo r£9. Pricey!! but convienent. went off to eat at jolly jacks down on the plymouth harbour. good ale and great food. pleasent staff too. got back to hotel and had good nights sleep. breakfast ?well it was ok but not worth £9 each. toast, plates, bacon, beans , mushrooms, scrambled egg, all cold. it was all edible but £9 ..No you expect more. staff were very good and friendly. Tv pcture wasnt brilliant but it was ok. So room overall 5/5. breakfast .2/5.

“Lovely hotel, shame about the restaurant”

Lovely hotel, good facilities and great staff. The restaurant was a disappointment though. DIdn't seem to know about condiments and the meat i had was over-cooked.

Area recommendations
Dartmoor was just 10 minutes up the road and delightful!

“Michele Grimm”

Wonderful new chain of hotels! We were thrilled with the accommodations at the Future Inn. Now, if they will just keep their budget nature, they will be our favorite innkeeper in the UK. We hope they will continue their expansion. This was totally great value for money. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was delightful!

“Would stay there again if travelling back to Plymouth”

Very impressed with check in and check out. Liked the fact that check out was at 12pm the next day, it gives you more time on a morning to have breakfast, and get all your belongings together. The room was lovely and spacious with a large bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a great tv. The bathroom had both a bath and a shower, which is always good, it was clean and there were fresh towels. The foyer and corridors were clean and tidy, and there were automatic air fresheners keeping the hotel smelling nice. The only one down side was that I driven all the way from London and arrived around 8pm and I hadn't had any for food. I went down to the restaurant, the Fishbone at 8.15pm and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. This was confusing as there were at least 4 tables free. Fortunately when I drove round I found a pub called the Jack Rabbit and I ate there; all the other eateries in the area were fast food places, which I did not fancy eating at. Overall the experience was great, just a shame we couldn't have eaten in the restaurant
