“Good Experience”
Nice, clean hotel. Hot & cold options for breakfast. Pleasant, helpful employees.
“Centrally located”
The bonus is the free shuttle you can use anytime to reach destinations in a 2-3 miles radius from the hotel (the all downtown and midtown areas)
“No problems with my Expedia Internet res.”
A comfortable place to stay within a blk of the People Mover. Valet pkg $20/night with in/out priv., which isn't bad compared to some other cities. The hotel has a free shuttle, but you can't reserve it & it quits at 10:00 pm. Since it was New Year's Eve weekend, we found the People Mover a great way to get around -makes a 3 mi. loop around the city til 2:00 a.m. & only cost .75 cents a ride. We stayed in a 2 Q suite on the 17th floor, which has the pool just down the hall. Comfortable beds & good lighting. Had a problem with the toilet getting plugged 2x on the 2nd day, but staff responded promptly & we had the pool bathrooms to use as needed, while waiting for maintenance. There is also a laundry rm, ice machine, & vending machine on 17th floor. View of city not river. Frig, micro, & kitchen sink in suite. Family liked the cont'l bkfst. I slept in & missed it. We stayed here bcz we thought we would have a dog with us, but ended up not bringing dog. There are some grassy areas near hotel. My main complaint would be the large pool was only 3' deep, but was heated & we enjoyed the swim. I would stay here again. Eat at Mo-Town Cafe on corner- looks rough, but great sandwiches & fries. Lots of restaurants & great pastry shop in Greektown.
“very good experience”
I liked that it was close to the Fox Theatre and also the staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean. The buffet breakfast was also very good. I have stayed there before and I was not disappointed to stay there again
“would go back”
great hospitality, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I didn't care for was that there was not an exhaust fan in the bathroom(peeew)lol.
“Rooms not for people in wheelchairs”
We had reserved a room that was handicap accessible but the room we were in, the bathroom was not for people in a wheelchair. The door was not wide enough to get the chair through, and the chair is not that wide. I had to get out of the chair to make it to the toilet, it was good that I only had less then 4ft to try and shuffle there. I was glad we were only staying over night because I would not have been able to get in the tub to take a shower. Other then that, the breakfast buffet was good, fully stocked. Valet parking was nice and the guys that helped us were great to!. I really liked the location, the people but unfortunately if they don't have a bathroom that I can get my wheelchair in I won't be returning.
“Not Bad”
This is an adequate hotel that is conveniently located. The front desk is staffed with friendly people who helped as best they could. But it is not as well-kept as I am used to with Holiday Inn.
“Somewhat impressed”
I was not impressed with the lack of privacy taht was recieved and the nhurriedness to check out the cleaning lady was almost bardging in the room and it wasnt even 10:00 yet we ahd ill 11:00 to check out that was not cool!!!
“overnight review”
it was ok....the service was good but the bathroom in my room was not up to par...it was clean but very damaged
“Has a lot of work to do.”
I had to change rooms twice during my 5 day stay. They are in the process of being certified as a Holiday Inn Express. At this rate I don't think they will achieve this.
