"We stayed in 5 different hotels during our visit to South Korea. Of the 2 in Seoul, Amid was easier to identify and get to. It was very safe as the Jongno police station was across the street. We walked to Insadong shopping within minutes, and Ikseondong food in about 10 minutes. Plenty of everything you need within a few minutes of walking distance. The breakfast buffet was delicious every day with offerings from Western and Korean cultures, and espresso machine coffee or lattes, tea, milk or...

"- location: very convenient in the old city quarter, within walking distance to many attractions. 5 minute walk to airport bus and 10 mins walk to underground station (and i am 60 yrs old!) - staff: extremely polite and helpful, especially the lady at the front desk (sorry i forgot her name) -cleanliness: the rooms are clean and bed are very comfortable (we like firm mattresses). Certain areas in the bathroom would have been much better if the old grout lines were re-grouted instead of white...

"Lovely appointed room (we had the queen bed) You could choose how often you wanted your room cleaned. Staff were friendly and helpful and had no trouble understanding English. We had our breakfast there everyday as it had everything you could want (English/Korean) just paid a supplement. "

"It was perfect for our one-night stay: very convenient location, very helpful staff at the reception. Rooms were a bit tiny but the view on Insadong market and the Namsan tower were fabulous!"

"Office staff were amazing and VERY helpful. I enjoyed my stay at SLA. Even though there is a palace and a temple across the street, I felt the area definitely had a more "neighborhood" feel and less "touristy". The only possible dings would be (1) it is a walk-up, so if mobility is an issue, it is something to think about; and (2) the nearest subway station is about a 15-minute walk away... However, bus stops are very close and plentiful and it is pretty easy to hail a cab."
