"Giovanni and Rosa were wonderful hosts, even though they were in the middle of the olive harvest. The apartment is quite large, and the kitchen was one of the best equipped we've experienced. The rooftop terrace has an incredible view of the sunset over Lago di Varanno. It's a bit of drive to some of the other areas (e.g. the beautiful coastline south of Vieste), but that's true of most places on the peninsula because of the limited number of roads, most of which are quite narrow and twisty....

"The three of us enjoyed our week at Pietro's trulli house. Most of all, we loved sitting out on the shaded terrace where we spent many hours eating, drinking and relaxing. It was nice to be in such a quiet and private setting looking over trees and fields. The inside of the house was also comfortable, attractively decorated and well equipped. The lovely shapes and colour of the stonework of the trulli were delightful. Communication with Pietro was easy and he responded promptly to any...

"We were excited to stay at a place with a playground for our children, but the playground was a little worse for wear. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. It was nothing fancy, but completely adequate. Breakfast items could have been fresher. "

"Francesco is een goede gastheer. Echt een plek om tot rust te komen. Min punt is dat er geen oven aanwezig is. De prijs is aan de hoge kant. De afstand naar zee viel ons erg tegen. Het is ruim 25 minuten rijden. Cisternino is een prachtige stad. Echt de moeite waard. Leuke pleintjes, straatjes en terrasjes. Ostuni is nog net iets mooier. Bezoek vooral de oude binnenstad met al zijn trappen en steegjes, daar kan je heerlijk overal eten en lounchen."

"A nice hotel, super location and stunning views with great staff who really do work hard to please you. However, it appears its glory is fading and it is in need of a refurb. There is a Spa of sorts attached but it works limited hours, so be prepared to get there early if you want to use it. Within the guest areas, you could smell stale smoke and the hotel restaurant was in a windowless small room with limited choice and poor serving staff and breakfast was just awful, has the budget been cut...

"Fantastic stay with such a warm Italian welcome. Views are amazing as it is set on a hillside a few km from the sea. Also The owners son'is such a big help as he introduces himself with a map and then joints some points put about some scenic views and historical locations he also runs a boat tour for guests of a tour of the lagoon and grottos 20km south down the coastline for a reasonable price. We would definitely stay there again"
