"Forakers Restaurant was wonderful (loved the ribeye!). The lodge has an amazing view and THE place to stay in Talkeetna. Convenient shuttle, clean, quiet, very comfortable. Make your reservations well in advance!"

"The very best bar - how could a grizzly on the ceiling, a disco ball with hanging handles and a musk ox wearing pearls be a mistake? Super friendly staff that made you feel welcome and a local hangout. Seven lodging rooms upstairs (noisy bar downstairs - earplugs provided!) share 2 clean full bathrooms in the hall. In the heart of this small historic district, where everything is walkable. Best sit down breakfast in town, large portions and made to order. Lots of choices for lunch and dinner, with food trucks and scratch kitchens all around."

"Simple, but clean and short walk to lookout and main shop/restaurant area. Amazing view of the mountains right outside the rooms! Loved sitting outside to soak it in! Could use a mirror in the main bed area for convenience close to electrical outlets. I would stay here again!"

"The room was uncomfortable and felt very outdated. There was no AC, leaving the room warm and suffocating, and the standing fan was covered in dust. Additionally, the room didn't get dark enough at night, making it hard to sleep."

"Just the best little place with everything you need. All the kitchen necessities, Netflix, paper towels, trash bags… it’s the little things. The sauna was a great plus. Our travel plans got messed up and they let us extend a night. Responded right away. I couldn’t of asked for more"
