Our stay here was okay. There wasn't anything horrible, but there wasn't anything fantastic either. The room was decent size with a queen bed. The bathroom was clean. It was on the quiet side (also went in the off season). The room was on the hot side as the cooling system in the room did not work well. You need to pay for breakfast even if you have a nightly room reservation. I would figure for the price tag, breakfast would be included but it isn't. The place should invest in a vending machine or something because it doesn't have a restaurant, room service, or convenience store close. It is a decent place to stay for 1 night if you want to be in the heart of Deadwood. Otherwise, we wouldn't go out of our way to stay here if we go back.

A classy historical hotel. Parking was a bit of a hassle but it was not the fault of the hotel. Overall a great hotel that I would recommend to friends and family.

Enjoyed the charm and history of this hotel. It was located on the historic Main Street In Deadwood, SD. Lots of bars, restaurants and casinos in walking distance. Staff helpful and friendly.

We will not be staying at this property again. It was somewhat attractive due to the age of the building and has a lot of history. Unfortunately when we arrived back to our room about 1:00 AM to finally go to bed, when pulling the covers back on the bed, we found evidence of bed bugs. The front desk was very helpful and we moved to another floor, another room.

Room was 85 degrees, windows screwed shut, went to the front desk, told me it's an issue for the room, was Sunday night and half full occupancy so requested a different room, got rejected, told me to open the door and let in the cooler air, an HOUR later room was still 75 degrees. Complete joke of a hotel, never had a worse experience at an hotel.

I liked the historic nature of the hotel in a convenient downtown location. The free parking was nice since most of the hotels in Deadwood seem to charge for parking.

We very much enjoyed our stay and hearing all the fun stories about ghosts. Room was clean and cozy. The only thing that wasn’t the best was service was very slow in Bully’s restaurant for breakfast and the TV announced itself when turned on and off very loudly.
