The room was very quiet and comfortable. We stayed in one of the suites which gave us extra room to spread out. The trolley makes it convenient to get to main street Deadwood. The Michaelson trail is also just across the street for easy walking access.

Historic Deadwood stay
The location wasn’t ideal for us-we were expecting to be able to walk to historic Deadwood. The trolley was on winter hours and came by only once per hour. The room was fine, the breakfast was okay, the hot tub was not hot.

Smoke alarm battery chirped, maintenance had to fix. Remote didnt work on TV, maintenence had to fix. One bed had a big dip in it, commode ran constantly, then not at all. Did like the large vanity, and staff were very helpful.

Enjoyable
Staff was friendly and nice even though they have to play the Jack of all trades due to the lack of employees. Beds were hard for my taste but overall had a pleasant stay, liked being away from the hub-bub of town and enjoyed the mini golf.

Hotel is physically beat up, greasy, and badly needs refurbishing. “Handicapped” room is simply a normal room with grab bars (e.g., need to step over tub wall to take a shower). Noisy. A disgrace to the Comfort Suites franchise.

The staff was all very friendly. The breakfast area was clean and food was kept full during breakfast hours! Food was delicious! Mini golf and an arcade for the kids right on site. So great for our “Deadwood Day.” The pool and hot tub were clean and quiet for my kids swimming. We also ate food from the bar one evening. The pizza and nachos were very good! No complaints about this hotel from my family!

Greatly disappointed
A very disappointing experience. Staff was absent or inattentive. Food was terrible and expensive. Casino?? On the premises consisted of a handful of antiquated slot machines. The whirlpool was turned to a cold setting, and we needed to request to be turned to a proper temperature. Over all we were treated as if they were doing us a favor rather than paying customers. We will not be staying there in the future, and make sure our friends and relatives are made aware of the shabby, frustrating experience at the Comfort in.

Front desk is awesome with checking in, received a buy one get one free beer coupon to the bar at hotel, went and checked it out, cold and fast friendly service. Room was up to date, clean, good ac and smelled clean. Bathroom was clean, refreshing shower. Beds slept like being at home. Will be back here for all of our trips to the area.
