“Nice hotel for just a 2 day business trip”

Hotel was old but alright, the hallway in the hotel lobby was too cold, the room smelled like chlorine when we first went in. Very quiet room, bed was very comfortable.

“Great for and Expedia pick”

We got this room for cheap on an EXPEDIA PICK we will now do that everytime we book a room. great room for a tremendopusly low price :) The Hotel was great. Comedy club downstairs and the comedians were funny. I had some problems with my credit card being overcharged for tips at the bar downstairs but it was a holiday so I havent heard anything back ffrom the accounting department yet.

“Nice Hotel”

Really nice. Comfortable beds, well decorated, clean and nice staff. I will be returning. They also have a complimentary shuttle service that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. Downsides - not sure if wireless or breakfast was free (but if they're not, they should be). Drinks downstairs are $9/each....ouch. And it's not a great location, but didn't matter to me - it was close to my sister's house, and that's what I needed.

“Repeat Dallas Visitor”

Great location for Dallas weekends. Centrally located between downtown and outlying areas with convenient access to main roads and the Greenville area. Very good place to visit on the weekend, as the hotel caters mostly to business travel during the week. The weekend leaves access to the nearby mall and other opportunities.

“A forgetable, unpleasant experience.”

Front desk admitted that I had requested and paid for a King room, but had none available and instead gave us what was supposed to be a room with a Queen bed, but which was in reality a tiny room about half the size of of a King room, with a Full bed. Front desk said nothing else available. Hotel had obviously been overbooked. Room A/C would not keep the room cool. All in all a forgetable stay. I will not stay there again.

“Good hotel in excellent location”

After reading some of the other reviews, we were a little hesitant to stay at the Doubletree. The purpose of our trip was to visit some of the sights in Dallas, one being the North Park Mall. Proximity to the mall was foremost in our hotel choice. It does have the appearance of a primary business hotel but that does not mean we did not like it. It also has the appearance of recent renovation. It has low ceilings and small rooms which were the norms several years ago. This in no way detracted from our trip. The front desk area gave a good first impression as did the friendliness of the staff. The offer of a warm chocolate chip cookie sealed the deal. Our room was nice with two double beds, perfect for two with a youngster. It seemed newly renovated and was updated with a flat screen TV. When we inquired at the front desk for diving directions to the mall, we were told that complementary transportation was available. The remainder of the weekend, we were chauffeured to the mall and back, to the JFK Museum and the Dallas World Aquarium by a very nice and accommodating driver named Sam. Even though we had experienced some driving problems getting to the hotel (construction on Central Expressway was difficult), Sam made our visit perfect. Don't hesitate to stay here. It is an excellent hotel with lots of amenities, not the least of which was our "personal chauffeur", Sam. Oh yes Sam, the chocolate chip cookie ice cream was wonderful!
