"Clean, well-appointed hotel, right in Decorah."
I visited Decorah to attent a one-night Fine Arts event, and booked the Quality Inn in advance, online. The Quality Inn was very clean, and well-appointed. The lobby had a small sitting area, and a computer (which I used to print my boarding pass for my return trip). I checked in at about 5pm, and there were fresh-baked cookies, and fresh popcorn available, in the adjacent eating area - NICE!. I had booked a room with a single King bed, which was what I got. It was very nicely appointed with the big COMFORTABLE bed, a large flat-screen TV, desk and chair, night stands w/lamps, dresser, and another comfortable upholstered side chair and ottoman. It was large and airy feeling. The HVAC unit had a digital thermostat, which I really appreciated (no guessing "warmer" or "cooler" as many places force you to do). The room included a clean ironing board and iron, which I used. The bath was also spotless, and had a granite countertop with an undermount sink. I used the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, and even went to the desk where they cheerfully provided me with toothpaste, which I had forgotten to pack. The TV had a huge selection of HD channels, and I slept like a baby in the big, comfortable bed. Breakfast was plentiful, and delicious, including hot waffles, eggs, bacon and more. The only complaint that I had was that there was only one desk attendant when I checked in, and it took quite a while for her to get to me. I also would have appreciated an elevator.
