Large patio with garden furniture, BBQ and firepit. Large lawned garden with sitting-out area, BBQ, firepit and landscaped grounds (shared with owner). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are steps leading from the car park and in the grounds.. The Cottage High Wykehurst End is beautifully located in the grounds of the owners’ home who live next door. There are wonderful views of the Surrey Hills. Access is via a private lane, shared by several properties and there is private parking. This detached cottage is perfect for young families or couples wishing to explore the local countryside with walks, cycle routes and the cosy pubs.
Entering the cottage, you have a spacious, open plan living/dining/kitchen area with air-conditioning, where you can gather as a family. Be sure to open the shutters and sliding doors to welcome in the views as you relax in the well-equipped kitchen. Children will love the ladder-style climb to the attic room and leading from the living space with just a few steps, you have a lower ground floor double bedroom with en-suite facilities. You can also access the private rear patio from the bedroom, where you will find a gas BBQ and wood firepit. People who love their gardens are in for an additional treat, as the 2-acre gardens are owned by an award-winning garden designer.
You are situated in the Surrey Hills, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in picturesque village of Ewhurst, with its privately owned local store and its newly renovated gastropub, which is less than a mile away. Just down the road is Hurtwood Park Polo Club, one of the UK’s only polo clubs of its kind. Here you can access various facilities and events throughout the year. There are numerous walks starting from the Cottage taking you on flat routes or to hillier viewing points.
As well Cranleigh, Dorking, Guildford, Horsham and the lovely Surrey Hills villages that surround you, you are just an hour from London, Portsmouth, Brighton and 35 minutes Gatwick and 60 minutes from Heathrow airports. So, there are plenty of places to explore during your holiday. Shop 1 mile, gastro-pub less than a mile away and larger restaurants 2¾ miles.
