Maybe good for conventions

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: Saffron Restaurant offers nice dishes for lunch. We had nice salads, sandwiches and other things for a light lunch while staying at the swimming pool.
Cons: Personnel could be more welcoming and supporting, expecially at front desk
Location: lots of restaurant (many too touristic). Nice promenades in the old part of the town, around the church. Sandy beach... for those who love sand...
Architecture is a bit "soviet style" and the hall is somehow a bit "cold" and not welcoming. With reservation we had requested a double bed. We found twin beds and after complaining they joined them. But the result was uncomfortable being the borders of the single mattresses hard. On day 4 of our stay, at passed 5pm our bedroom was not kept althought we had left the tag "Please, clean the room now" on the door's knob since 1pm. During our stay we had breakfasts at the bar and lunch at their Saffron restaurant, signing the bills to be charged on the room. At check out they presented a complicate note that was not easy at all to read. The drinks were separated from the food, so I had to ask to cross check every single bill we had signed. Hotel is at 5 minutes walking distance from a naturist beach. It is somehow too far from the downtown and returning back after having enjoyed a bit of nightlife requires a taxi. Breakfast is too pricy (20 Euros per person).

Quiet hotel close to beach

Posted 04-Sep-2014
Pros: Quiet, access to beach, pool area
Cons: Morning Bartender
The hotel is in the port area so it is a bit of a walk in to the main part of Sitges but it is a nice walk along the water along a path. Restaurants in the port are a short walk away. The hotel was very nice, in a quieter part of town which was great for sleeping. We had an amazing balcony with a view over the port. The pool area is lovely and the hotel is also a short walk to the beach. All of the staff were great with one exception, the bartender in the lounge on our last day. We had to leave about 9:30am and wanted to have a coffee before we left. We were told to go to the bar rather than the restaurant as the restaurant only served the buffet. When we asked the bartender for coffee he said he wasn't open yet (even though it was 9:00am which was opening time), give him 5 minutes. We sat down to wait, others followed us in and all of those people were served with coffee while we still sat there. We finally left at 9:25 without coffee as he had ignored all of our attempts to signal him. It was too bad this was our last impression of the hotel as everyone else at the hotel was great.

Great quality hotel

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Wi fi signal and the cost of breakfast
Location: Sitges is the best resort in soak by far...everything is nearby to enjoy
Excellent quality hotel. Helpful staff, large functional rooms with a balcony and a general feeling that you are in a hotel which will meet your every need. Our room was lacking a safety deposit box and we let the reception know and one was fitted in 10 minutes. There are plenty of staff and a well kept pool area. The hotel is a good 15 minutes walk from the centre but as long as you don't mind the walk then I think this is the best hotel to stay at to get to know Sitges properly, including all the different beaches so that you can choose the one that works for you....this hotel has class without being pretentious.

Lovely hotel, modern and clean. Location good.

Posted 24-Aug-2014
Pros: It was all good.
Cons: Gym included in stay would be good, you have to pay to use it.
Location: The port is beautiful and that was my reason for choosing this hotel. This one was a ten minute walk away from the port.
Good value, staff helpful. Breakfast good and plentiful, although the hot food wasn't to our taste.

Nice hotel in residential area of Sitges

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good food.
Cons: Breakfast service was a little slow. The staff seem too rushed off their feet.
Location: Lovely and quiet location. Central Sitges can be reached in 20-25 mins walking or a 5 min cab ride.
Had a lovely stay at this hotel. One thing I would mention is that it takes approx. 20 mins to walk into central Sitges. It is a nice walk though. The good thing about the location is it is quiet at night.

Pleasant stay away from the hustle and bustle.

We enjoyed our stay, and the hotel met all expectations. We had upgraded to a Melia room which on reflection I would not have bothered with as the decor was quite corporate rather than 'resorty' which made me feel like I was traveling for business. That said this is a hotel with large meeting space so can't be blamed for catering to the business traveller. The room itself was comfortable (if ever so slightly on the small side) and the bathroom was fantastic - great shower! We were also lucky enough to have a sea view which really made our stay so much more scenic - would recommend requesting this when booking or checking in. The public spaces are very well kept - impressive lobby as you come in, nice looking bar for evening drinks and the restaurant where breakfast was served was also well maintained. We were there in peak season so it was very busy with leisure travelers and a fair few children, I should imagine this hotel feels very different out of the months of July and August where is is mainly business travellers. My only niggle was that the pool was not the cleanest and there was a lack of sunbeds on the couple of times we ventured out there. As I said, it was peak season so I could accept a shortage of sunbeds but on one side of the pool there was a clear scummy area which was quite off putting. Location wise it's around 15 minutes walk into Sitges but it's along the quiet coast paths so very pretty and we liked being a but away from the crowds.

Nice hotel located in a nice quiet area.

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Pros: Quiet location
Cons: Hotel pool was only used once on a Saturday and it was packed, not enough sun loungers available. Not pleasant.
Location: Great for nearby beaches,
Lovely room with great sea view, hotel staff were all very helpful. Visited nearby beaches most days, but beware if you intend to use the hotel pool at a weekend, get down early as it gets packed and many people 'reserve' sun lounger's early!

Close to the beach and also the marina behind.

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Pros: The varied breakfast and location by the beach
Cons: Its fine as it is
Location: Easy walk into town for all the bars and restaurants and then a nice walk back. Its also a lot cooler than staying in the town.
Breakfast was lovely and the rooms really clean. Pool area really relaxed and quiet during the week. Easy walking distance into town and back.
