Hostal Almanzor is brilliantly central. Very close to the Mezquita, to the Roman Bridge, to the maze of old streets with interesting shops and artists' workplaces. Visit the old Jewish quarter (Juderia), El Zoco (calle Judos) and the Arab baths. Visit the Torre de la Calahorra, at the South end of the Puente Romano. We were at the Hostal on a Saturday Night and it is in quite a lively area of town, with several eateries nearby. The hostal is on the corner of 2 small streets and our room had windows opening on both streets. Lovely, but we could not have slept with the windows open. No food available at the Hostal but plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, open for breakfast and offering tapas and full meals.
