“Great hotel!”
We stayed here for my friend's bachelorette party. The hotel staff sent complimentary wine and truffles to the room. The hotel was convenient and well kept!
“Large clean comfortable room at reasonable price-would go back”
Across from the state capitol, the view from our large, clean room was excellent. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Although clean and comfortable, the hotel is going to be renovated this year which will make this an even better stay. I would recommend this hotel to others without reservation. Breakfast was good as well although our waitress was a little slow,.
“Over rated”
The hotel told us they just took over (used to be a hyatt, now a Sheraton) and that they would be doing a renovation soon. It needs it. There are many oth places ithe downtown area that are comparably priced with much nicer amenities.
“Good hotel but will need updating soon”
This is a nice hotel with rooms that will not disappoint. It was recently bought from Hyatt and one would hope that Sheraton (the new owners) will invest some money in this hotel which is getting a little old in the teeth.
“Very nice stay”
This was one of the best secret hotels we have booked. The room was a great value. We would stay there again and definitely recommend it. The location was not too far from a highly recommended breakfast spot and not too far from the Zoo.
“Exceptional service at a minimal price!”
Thanks to unpublished rates we stayed here for next to nothing, but it was so nice that I would not have mined paying full price! My only complaint is that the room would cool down to what we wanted, but the beds were so comfy we didn't loose sleep.
“Location is great.”
The hotel is near a bank. We were able to get some cash from the ATM. We also like the garage that is under the hotel and it was easy to get back to the hotel. I do wish that a direction were given to us at the front of the hotel. This could help us to find the parking garage quickly.
“Mediocre at best”
I will start by saying that when we pulled into valet we were told that the garage would not be able to fit our car....so, if you have a vehicle as big as a Suburban you are out of luck and forced to park in public parking. Luckily there was a lot nearby. This is not what I would consider a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. There was no guest book for roomservice etc., in the room. When I called down to the front desk I was told that this was an old hotel and that not many of the rooms had guestbooks!? Bed was very comfortable and the front desk staff were very friendly. Darby's Outdoor Grill was quaint and had great fish tacos. Restaurant in the hotel closes very early.
“Great location, easy access to the major highways. Accomodating workout room with pleny of equipment”
Tip- park across the street for $5 as valet parking is very high at $23 day...
“Not impressed!”
This felt like your average Comfort Inn, NOT a 4 star hotel. Sure the lobby was nice/fancy, but the room had Nothing upgraded to it besides the pillow-top mattress. The TV was an older tube model(which is def weird, considering that standard hotels have 32" flat screens.) There's a total of 12 channels and the average price to order a pay per view movie was $15.99! We asked for a mini fridge to keep our leftovers from dinner overnight, but they charged $25,non-refundable!!! So of course we didn't go with it. No pool either. Expect to pay for parking as well. They charge per hour/hours. The ONLY reason we even stayed here is because we got a deal on the room through expedia(which wasn't even worth that.) Also the traffic downtown is a real downer, we def learned our lesson.
