“Columbia Old and New--the best of both worlds”
I loved the Inn at USC. I was warmly welcomed into the richly appointed parlor when I arrived after a long drive. A beautiful bar and library awaited me and helped me to decompress after the trip. The staff who greeted me were top notch--friendly and efficient. I was happy to be so near the campus of the University which afforded me safe places to walk. The coffee shops and restaurants nearby were a plus. The breakfast at the Inn surpassed expectations--home made waffles and omelets made to order along with fruit, yogurt, cereals, muffins, etc. I recommend the hotel highly to anyone who wants a downtown experience.
“The place to stay for visitng USC”
This hotel is a wonderful break from the standard chain hotel experience. The lobby was elegantly decorated for the holidays, with coffee, tea, ice tea, sweet tea and cucumber water available throughout the day. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and had a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom is a bit small but fine. Many rooms have a balcony. Breakfast included made to order omelets. Best of all, it is basically on campus at University of South Carolina. It was an ideal place to stay for a campus visit. The location allows for easy access to your room if needed in the middle of the day and we were allowed to leave our car there all day even after checking out. This would always be my first choice stay in the area.
“Nice hotel”
Great hotel, very clean, bathrooms are small but fine for 1 or 2 people. Friday night had VERY loud music playing in one of the ballrooms. I didn't expect that issue from this hotel that is known for a more quiet crowd. The front desk told me that 'the music would stop at 11:30 and not one second later', so I assumed they had many calls from other rooms.
“I always stay here when in Columbia.”
Conveniently located on the Campus of the University of South Carolina. This hotel is the perfect example of Southern hospitality. They always have sweet tea and lemonade or Coffee and Tea in the lobby. Grab a glass and sit in the Rocking Chairs on the front porch and feel yourself relax. The staff is friendly and helpful. The made to order breakfast and buffet not to be missed.
“Quiet and comfortable”
One of the quietest hotels I have ever stayed in. This hotel was great for a restful night and the full breakfast was quite good. Also pleasant were the common rooms just off the lobby that were part of an historical house which was incorporated in the building of the hotel. I spent a lovely morning there while my husband caught up on sleep.
“USC southern hospitality”
I have stayed in Columbia at many hotels while visiting my USC students. The Inn at USC is my favorite. The location if fantastic, within walking distance to most everything. The hotel staff are very friendly, the welcome amenities and the daily breakfast can't be beat. The room is comfortable and clean, the biggest downfall is the small bathroom. Will continue to choose the Inn at USC with my next visit.
“Awsome breakfast and service.”
Will deffinetly stay again.
