"Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! "

"Pros: fully serviced kitchen, nicely organised, Free access to Netflix with a super large TV! Cons: on arrival the house was stinking of cigarettes (bare in mind I get migraine from cigarette smell) dryer did not work, lights is a nightmare to turn on, full check in instructions were not given until the day of arrival when asked. The cooker hub screw you have to manually put your nail in to get the gas as broken. Lots of bugs and insects in the house due to it being situated around...

"I stayed at the Jester while I was in the area for business. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me. As my stay extended in to the reopening period post...
