"I visited during the off season, when Hotel Melissa was one of the few places to stay in the area. There is very little to do or see in Torre Melissa, but the weather was lovely and warm, the beach is beautiful and completely empty. "This is a very nice place to stay if you have kids. Lots of kids and activities. We do not have kids could have done without the thousands of screaming children. The air conditioning in the room was barely functional and it got very hot and humid at night. The location is like a demilitarized zone and is not even close to the location as shown on the site. "I can't explain the feeling we had staying in such a historic and well preserved castle. It was exquisite! It was like staying in a museum but much more comfortable. My kind of place
"Suited me just fine. They provide a coffee machine & some pastries in the room for a quick breakfast, but it’s really good as a self-catering establishment. There’s a fridge in the room (well stocked with bottled water & little juice packs) and a very good kitchen with cooker, microwave and plenty of crockery & utensils. Handy grocery stores nearby for local cheese & meats etc. I like this sort of place. Would happily stay again."
