"A cute, clean experience in a typical Japanese Ryokan! The onson was lovely even though its in the basement with no view. Oddly, there were very few restaurants on the island open for dinner. We did find an excellent local one. The beat part was the view of the harbour and hike and tram up the mountain!!!"

"We stayed to see the rabbits on the island. Would have been nice if a few more options at dinner and breakfast. I struggled to find things to eat at dinner and my husband breakfast. We didn’t use the onsen so also would be nice if maybe other activities in were available. We had a nice stay none the less "

"For international travelers who are not used to Japanese hotel accommodations outside the major tourist centers of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, you may find the basic amenities and older construction to be somewhat underwhelming, but as a base for tourism in Matsue city proper, the central location is quite beneficial, being only an 8 minute walk from Matsue Castle. I would caution that the hotel is somewhat distant from the main Matsue Station (JR trains), requiring a bus ride or taxi (or a ~25...
