"Perfectly situated close to the city centre, there’s a car park and you can walk to most of the city’s attractions. Our room was on the first floor and had a balcony overlooking the garden. It was comfortable and had pretty much everything you needed. The breakfast was excellent with fresh local produce. The pub has a good selection of beers and a good restaurant. There is entertainment at weekends but music finishes at a reasonable time and doesn’t interrupt your sleep. The owners and staff are welcoming and helpful. "

"Very cosy, log fires in a 400year old building with character and history on the edge of a small village. Ideal for visiting the Goodwood events, the Downland Museum and West Dean Gardens. "

"Nicki and Craig were awesome! The staff were just great - friendly and very helpful, even when they were very busy. Food was just great - you have to try the sunday roast - you won't be dissapointed AND the breakfast was enough to get you through the dya. Highly recommendede english pub!"
