“Very Good Price for a Nice Hotel”
Little American has been an excellent facility in Cheyenne for decades. This is an excellent hotel for the price. The hotel as everything you require for business or pleasure. The pool is very large and very relaxing. The food is very good for a hotel and not very expensive. We highly recommend this facility.
“Nice but no indoor pool”
I would not have chosen this hotel if I had known there was no indoor pool. I used the unpublished rates method, where you do not find out which hotel it is until after you pay. I assumed all quality hotels in Cheyenne would have indoor pools. Because of the method I used, I could not cancel or change it. I will not be using this method again.
“Little America of Cheyenne for a Pleasant Stay”
We were quite pleased by the Little America Cheyenne. It has clearly been around a lot of years but has been upgraded and well maintained. PROS: Our room was quite large and had everything we needed. The hotel is in a park-like setting and borders on its own short layout golf course. The main building is elegant and suited for special occasions. We didn't use the pool but it is generously sized and inviting. The restaurant is a cut above what you commonly find at close-to-the-freeway hotels. A good thing because there isn't a lot of selection near by and downtown Cheyenne is a few miles away. CONS: The toilet drained very slowly - I'm guessing that the piping is showing its age. No breakfast included. We knew that when we registered but it has become pretty common to include something. I was surprised that the large windows and room door weren't more energy efficient. Not needed while we were there but in that climate it cries for an upgrade.
“Is this really the best Cheyenne can do?”
We were up in Cheyenne over night for a wrestling tournament from Boulder. I only looked at 3 star hotels(no 4 or more stars were available). Only 2 or 3 hotels came up and only this hotel had 2 queens so we booked. The lobby was very nice so I was encouraged, but when we got to our room that encouragment faded away like the color of the bedspreads. It was not that bad, it was just old. It was clean and had a flat screen but it smelled old and it had avacado green accents. I don't think I'll go back there next year for the tournament, I think I might take a chance with La Quinta and the potential of thin walls.
“Upgrade Room”
The room was clean, but the shower and tub were out of the 50-60's. The shower curtain was a pain to work because of the old ceiling hung track. The shampoo/conditioner was terrible.....I know it's and amenity but if you're going to provide it, make it good.
“First stay in Dec was great-this time NOT”
Spilled milk in frig Last guests coffee cup rings on tray. Worst cappuccino I have ever had-first we had to find someone to make it, then it was lukewarm at best and no flavor. While waiting, I was entertained by a TV channel w/a person eating worms and the women working the shop narrated. Completed a comment card and have had no follow up.
“Revisit after 10 years”
Not the same as in the past. It is now a convention center not the little America known to the travelers of 20 or 30 years ago. The best it can be said is it's ok and not as good as a comfort inn. Bathroom looked dirty. Hathaways is average at best. Thinest steak I I have eaten. Most chain resturants are far better. The hotel and restaurant are too expensive for what you receive. Poor value. Although we have stayed there periodically over the last 30 years we will most likely stay somewhere else next time.
“Not Impressed”
While clean, I found the hotel to be outdated. The facility is in exteme need of an update. The furnishings and the room in general are "tired".
