“Ideal for the Chester City experience”

The hotel is ideally situated for the centre of Chester. If shopping or the racing are your intention, then this is the one that puts you in the right place, with free parking thrown in. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. Breakfast may not be extensive, but there is ample to start you off for the day

Area recommendations
Local points of interest, the city centre is brilliant for shopping with a wide choice of main names, and top fashion. The clever mix of the shops on two levels, to keep the old building in use as part of the High Street has to be seen, to realise how special the High Street is.Walk the city wall, and enjoy the views of the old city. If you like good beer, but without paying an arm and a leg, then the Boot Inn in the High Street is one to visit, prices that take you back to the 80's.

“Location vs. Price vs. Comfort”

Great Location - a true 5 minutes from the centre of Chester. Expensive when compared to other Holiday Inn Express hotels in the same area - but you're paying for the location. Small but clean rooms - seriously uncomfortable bed - and rather chaotic breakfast room when the Saturday morning rush couldn't be coped with. Would I stay again, no - really just because the bed was so poor......

“Good location but requires some TLC”

Hotel is good with good staff, but the rooms require a little TLC and time to change the mattress as they had very little support, rooms very hot with little or no air circulation (Desk fan would resolve this)

“Simple and affordable”

For a no-fuss stay in Chester this hotel was more than suitable. Very friendly and welcoming staff, clean and tidy rooms and a central location away from the thoroughfair of the high street. The only slight issue is that as the hotel is on a busy road and we needed to open the window at night due to the room being warm and a bit stuffy, the noise of the traffic woke me up. Breakfast was also a bit haphazard - quite a random selection of food - but for the price you can't complain.

“Ideal for town and races-will book again when in Chester”

The hotel is conveniently located within a few minutes walk from the city centre and suprisingly quiet due to its location next to racecourse and proximity to town. Parking was sufficient and breakfast was brilliant. Room was large and comfy with TV and Wifi. Perflectly located for exploring Chester and north Wales.

“Close to Town”

Very easy to walk into town.BUT the railway goes past the window, so it's very loud all night long.
