My husband treated me to stay here for my 40th birthday! It is in a great location and not far from Cheshire Oaks. On arrival we were welcomed with a lovely hot cookie each...they were delicious! We went for Sunday dinner at Marco Pierre White and had a 3 course meal which was fantastic value and the food was wonderful. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast, where there is plenty of different things to choose from. We also used the spa which was lovely, I especially enjoyed the outside jacuzzi. I would definetely recommend this hotel and will be back again soon!

“Excellent Hotel”

The facilities, room comfort and service are superb. Only 2 points let it down. The open plan nature of the reception/bar area into the rooms meant that at 2am after what seemed like a corporate function a large number of people spilled from the function room into the main lobby and made it very noisy in my room which was one of the first in the corridor. A simple set of glass doors which would be closed by night porter would make a huge difference. Also, surprised that while the wired complimentary broadband access was excellent, there was no wireless connectivity in rooms for phones/ipad.

GREAT HOTEL IN A GREAT LOCATION. ALL AS EXPECTED FROM A TOP NOTCH HOTEL GROUP. MISSED OUT ON THE 'MARCO; DINING EXPERIENCE BUT WILL MAKE A POINT TO VISIT NEXT TIME. GREAT VALUE BREAK HOPE TO DO IT AGAIN SOON.

“A gem”

Lovely hotel set back from the road in stunning grounds. Rooms are superb with all facilities you would expect. Recently renovated - everything was in superb condition. Staff very friendly and helpful. Anyone you passed would say hello and chat with you. A joy to stay there and a great base for exploring Chester and N. Wales

“very good new hotel”

Just on the outskirts of Chester, about 30 minutes walk to town centre, or short taxi ride. The hotel was new / refurbished to a high standard. We arrived about 3 hours before our check in time, but reception staff were very helpful & allocated us our room straight away. We had a room service breakfast one morning, fantastic! We would definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit to Chester

“Great Hotel”

This was our second stay at this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Friendly staff with great customer service. Hotel is well kept and clean and the club and spa add to the relaxation of the place. Only a short taxi drive into Preston which the hotel staff are happy to arrange for you. Would definitely recommend to all ages and types of customers, good mixture of young and old, couples and families.

“A wonderful hotel set in pleasent surroundings!”

Wonderful Hotel, helpful staff, great facilities. Food was reasonably priced and good quality. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with lots of choice and cook to order was no problem on request. Fantastic venue for a wedding. Would definitely stay again.

“Clean and Modern but Lacking Character”

This hotel is newly refurbished and has a huge modern extension. Apparently, the main building is listed, but if you are into heritage, don't bother with this building. In my view, the extensions and external alterations have spoiled the building's setting and harmed its character. However, if you like crisp and modern this might be for you. The rooms were a touch small but well furnished and decorated with a lovely contemporary bathroom. A warm cookie greets your arrival which is a nice touch. The only drawback was the restaurant which is rather expensive and lacking in choice. Overall a good stay.

“stylish hotel”

A stylish hotel but one with friendly staff. The concierge was particularly helpful in dealing with a minor problem ; the problem was quickly and efficiently dealt with in half an hour. The restaurant is beautifully furnished in a dark, elegant colour scheme; the staff were friendly and willing to offer information when needed, and , most importantly, the food was exquisite. Don'f forget your swimming gear ( as I did) because the spa looks like a treat. A real luxurious haven.
