“May return”
Much improved on my stay there last year and I like the idea of the breakfast.
“Someone else's party”
Found a deflated balloon and hairs on the bathroom floor. We understand that this is an economy hotel, but basic vacuuming was not done. On a positive note, the breakfast was generous and the hot water was plentiful.
“worth the price”
I would stay there again. This is a motel not a hotel. All the rooms have their own entrance that you park your car close to. Having said that, they are in the process of updating the place and it is not a bad place to stay. Great location in Cville and the room was worth the price. Refrig, coffee maker and microwave in the room. The breakfast is truly continental but you can get your morning coffee there.
“Not that great.”
The key wouldn't work in the first room I got and I had to walk back to the office in the rain to get another. Then the clerk just gave me a different room. The TV remote did not work. It was just OK.
“Run of the mill motel”
Nothing untoward about this h/motel. Has all the basic amenities one would expect in a US motel chain. And the drawbacks, mainly noise. Does what it says on the tin. Emphasis in the word tin. For drivers beware the entrance which is designed to cause an accident as you cut across streaming traffic at an intersection.
“Not Impressed”
While I wasn't looking for much more than a bed to sleep in during my stay in Charlottesville, I was not impressed at all and, quite frankly, felt uncomfortable with the neighborhood. The room was dirty, the bathroom was run down/old with the tub's drain ripped out, the parking lot had a number of people loitering around during all hours, and the outside and courtyard area looked as if the building had been vacated for years. I was looking for a cheap hotel where I could lay my head down, however, while I got the "cheapness" of the hotel, I certainly paid more than it was worth.
“Not impressed at all”
I stayed at this hotel because it was an unplanned trip. With planning you can find much better places at a much lower price! The bathroom was is very bad shape with bathtup paint job peeling. Numerous burn marks in furniture and tops. I dont smoke in rooms but for those that do an ashtray would likely prevent all those burn marks. It was difficult to find the room initially, the arrangement is very disorganized. The light switch by the room entrance did not energize any lights and I had to find my way in, in the dark. They should vent the rooms more often, it smelled and felt humid when we went first in.

“Kind of yucky :(”
Ceiling was falling down in the bathroom area, not enough towels, bare minimum of EVERYTHING. Breakfast was incredibly horrible. My husband could barely stomach the coffee. Not enough food for my small family, If I could have gotten a refund I would have but I paid in advance. The eating area was dark and wires were hanging out of the walls at the same height as the table, dangerous! I cannot believe this hotel is not being totally closed for repairs. The location is great, however, So if you are after a great location take towels and a sleeping bad and pretend you are camping (just don't sleep on the floor!).
“unimpressed”
The good news: the hotel is under renovation. The bad news: it needs it. Staff was generally friendly, courteous and helpful. Facilities were run down. Breakfast buffet on 2 days was reasonable but on 2 days was absolutely pathetic.
