"Brilliant place for a short stay, we stayed 1 night and it was lovely the room was very clean and tidy the bed was comfortable there are no draws for clothes but for a short stay it didnt matter. Breakfast was included there was a selection of cereal, toast and cooked breakfast to order which was very nice. The room(s) we were given were more than adequate for our needs and included a bedroom and a sitting room together with two TV's and the usual shower room. "We received a very warm welcome and staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Food was plentiful and a good variety. We were given were given a hearty breakfast. Bed was comfortable and location was quiet. The decoration was a bit tired and there was a need for some further plug points in the room so that you could use a hairdryer whilst standing by a mirror. The basin hot tap was loose as was the toilet seat.We did think that the room price was a bit high considering these...

"One night stay in May 2024. The White Horse is a pub no more than 5 minutes walk from the centre of Ripon and the cathedral. The rooms are converted stables at the back of the pub. The decor is basic and a little tired but if you’re going to book somewhere like this then you mustn’t expect opulence. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would certainly stay here again on a return trip to Ripon. "

"Lady doing check in was lovely , super friendly and helpful . Couple of issues resolved quickly after a few laughs . TV positioning and size bizarre . Would recommend displaying WIFI login details in the rooms in future . Room needs a bin , not just a bathroom bin . Good close parking, big spacious room with a nice comfy sofa . Lots of potential in room , but in need of updating . "

"The radiator in the room didn't work. I went to see the staff, and the boiler wasn't switched on, which is very strange for January !!. The boiler was on but the radiator didn't work on either day of my visit. 2 heaters were provided, but the person in charge wasn't aware of the issue with the boiler/radiator, which was poor in my view."
