Great hotel close to the city centre. Even able to leave our bags at the hotel after we checked out to explore the city in more comfort. Would recommend!!

Hotel in central location to every attraction

Posted 13-Sep-2014
Pros: The rooms were very spacious.
Cons: The soundproofing from neighbouring rooms. Also we were on the 11th floor and could feel the vibration of the trains passing.
Location: Nice and close the the City bars and restaurants and car parks. A pleasant walk to the bay. The Gay bar which we stumbled into was fun.
We had never been to Cardiff before and were very pleased with the ease of finding the hotel. Our room was spacious and clean with all that is usually required for a few nights stay. An issue I had was that the headboard which had all the buttons removed. This made it look tatty as the cover just hung over the padding with obvious marks where the buttons had been. I don't know whether the rooms are meant to be soundproof, but I could hear the people in a neighbouring room during the night. We didn't have any food so not able to comment on the restaurant. Also the air conditioning would make a noise periodically during the night. We were very impressed with Cardiff Bay and all that it had to offer, we will hopefully return again.

Lovely hotel in city centre

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: The accommodation and staff are first class in every respect.
Cons: Bar prices are high but, having said that, they are comparable with surrounding hotels and restaurants.
Location: This hotel is situated in the city centre with theatres, restaurants and night clubs in walking distance. Cardiff Bay is a short taxi/train ride away.
We have stayed in this particular hotel a few times and we are always impressed. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are very helpful, friendly and polite. Checking in and out is quick and easy. We will definitely return.

Saturday Night Stay

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Position is close enough to everythng
Location: Located in prime position, shops and food quarter right on the doorstep. Access to cinema and venues is easy.
Stayed overnight on a Saturday. Will definately go back as I use hotels when visiting family. Courteous and polite staff. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Room very comfortable and slept very well on beautifully comfortable bed. Noted some great officers for champagne stays etc and will definately been trying them.

City Centre

Posted 08-Sep-2014
Pros: Breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: More milk in room - it takes two of those stupid little pots for one cup to taste ok. I bought some.
Location: Cardiff Bay - you can walk or get the train, bus or taxi. Good restaurants and walks. Dr Who Experience closed for renovations : / (
Not in a good frame of mind as I was attending a funeral. Good view from my room and the bed was very comfortable. Some more milk would have been nice for tea and coffee. The lights were easy to work and the TV handily positioned. A very short walk takes you to the city centre. Breakfast was magnificent and quite restorative.
