The Westin is an institution. Its not the most savy but its reliable, safe and efficient with highly trained proffesional staff.
What is says on the packaging is what you will find in the box.
It has one dinning area where all meals of basic and safe farye are served, an excellent spa and pool facility on the iconic 19th floor and has easy access to all commercial parts of Capetown, and ofcourse the best conference facilities in town.
Remains my go to home in Capetown
Visiting Cape Town for a conference, Westin Hotel location was excellent. Just a 10 min walk to the waterfront and great views of the city and the mountain

Great location close to everything in the city and very convenient parking option.
We loved our stay at this hotel, it was so comfortable with every detail attended to very generously. The staff were amazing and I would give them 10 stars if I could! They were warm, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Wish we could have stayed longer over there! Thank you for the amazing experience.
The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, we felt warm energy and kindness from the staff members. The facilities were well maintained and beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The pool and spa were really clean and lovely.
Sadly this first class hotel with beatiful decor friendly staff and wonderful amenities and facilities let itself and me down by being mercenary and horrendously slow in rectifying a problem I faced due to their error.
On arrival i gave a card to the reception staff for extras as I had already prepaid for my 8 night stay.
At check in 5000 rand was charged to my account. I queried this and was told that it was just a ‘hold’. However this hold gobbled up more than half of the spending money I had collected in my global money account to use for the trip. Once I realised this I asked for the hold to be removed and my travelling companion used another card to clear the 1000 massage charge that had been charged to the room. This request to cancel the hold was made on aug 2nd & all charges on the room cleared then. Yet it is now august 11th , 3 days since I left the hotel & I have not had my money returned. The most damaging part is that for half of my trip I had to resort to the embarrassing position of borrowing money from my friend to fund my trip. On friday 4th when my funds were exhausted and I was unable to use my card I had to return to the hotel to eat and place the charges on my room. When I left the hotel only 2200 of charges remained on the room, yet no money was returned. On august 9th the day after I left Cape town a further 2350 rand was taken out of my account without permission. My bank still has no idea when the 5000 rand will be returned to me.
The staff was simply amazing in every way possible and they did everything possible in order to make sure we had stay that we will never forget, I would not hesitate coming back to see these wonderful smiles, whether it was Kelly, Tamlyn, Carlo, Ramsey, Bevelynne and everybody else
We had a wonderful stay. As with all the places we have been throughout South Africa, the team was very gracious and hospitality top notch. The hotel is conveniently located. Only downside is the inroom dining service can result in inconsistent quality. However, breakfast buffet was first class. The hotel pristine. Spa and pool amazing. Highly recommend.
Lovely hotel with elegantly designed rooms, great amenities and blazing fast wi-fi. Executive lounge view is wonderful, and we can’t commend Olga highly enough for looking after us - despite a busy conference we always felt as though we had personal service, and nothing was too much trouble. Will absolutely stay again when next in Cape Town.
We always have a good experience at the Westin but a few things need to be pointed out.
This time the room was very dusty.
The pillows were terrible. Both pillows were soft and offered no support.
The breakfast options - is it possible to maybe include chicken or lamb sausages for those ppl who don’t eat pork or beef?

Great location as a base for a weeks break. Concierge are fantastic. The team in the exec lounge were superb, and the views are stunning. Great Spa.

From check in to check out, the overall experience- breakfast, restaurant staff, the spa and the hair salon - was excellent. This hotel ticks all the boxes for comfort and location. We had an issue with the pillows being too soft and one call to service express - and we got “firmer” pillows.

Excellent hotel only marred by a visit to the spa where we found a filthy unusuable jaccuzi and untreated dirty pool. The staff corrected this for our second visit.
