This has the wow factor
Stayed at Sunset Cottage and I’ve gotta say, it certainly has the wow factor. The hosts were excellent communicators and nothing was too much trouble if we had a question. The property itself is accurately described and true to the pictures. The decor is fabulous and has a real beach vibe. The kitchen was fully equipped but we ate out every day as there is an abundance of restaurants close by. The pool deck was amazing and the sunsets were beautiful. The location was perfect for us and I would 100% rent this villa again. Thank you to Stu and Cathy for allowing us to stay.

This place is amazing. You see pictures of places on rental sites and almost never get the same quality in real life but these guys have thought of everything! Super clean and organized, everything we could’ve needed during our stay they had there for us which is huge when you are traveling with tiny humans! Thank you guys so much!

We found paradise 🌴
The Sunset Cottage provided the perfect place for our spring break vacation. We *LOVED* the pool and hot tub. The view of Lake Kennedy at all times of day was amazing, but at sunset it was truly magnificent. We logged some hours outside just enjoying the wildlife watching. Stu and Cathy have thought of EVERYTHING in this home. I found a book to read by the pool during our trip and my kids played chess on the one rainy day during our trip. The neighbors are friendly and the house is the cleanest vacation rental we have ever had. We didn't want leave! I would absolutely recommend this rental and would love to come back to one of Stu and Cathy's rentals the next time we are in Cape Coral.

Amazing Get away! Thanks so much Stu
I rented this house for the week for my teenage daughters spring break trip. I couldn't have been happier with what we rented. My wife and three daughters absolutely loved the property and the cleanliness of it. Sometimes when you rent a property, the pictures and title do not match what you're actually getting. This is not the case. The property was decorated amazing, the pool, spa dock, and everything provided was as advertised and in tiptop shape. Stew was absolutely wonderful to work with and answered any questions we had throughout our stay. I will rent a property from Stu whenever I can because I absolutely trust that their properties are everything they say they will be. This property was wonderful, relaxing and just so we are looking for. Thank you Stu and Kathy!

What a place to stay, we had such an amazing time at the sunset cottage. Stu was super easy to communicate with and made the whole process seamless. The pool was the best part, definitely would recommend this retreat of a house!

Fun, Relaxing Vacay!
Amazing property, the decor is beautiful and the house is immaculate. We enjoyed swimming during the day and hot tub at night. We kayaked across the lake early in the mornings to watch the sunrise over the house. We grilled and enjoyed the spectacular sunsets. We will definitely be back! The owners are delightful as well! Thank you for a relaxing, much needed getaway!

A perfect place for a week-long getaway
This was our family’s second year vacationing in Cape Coral and this house had everything we needed! It was well-maintained, tastefully decorated, and in a great location. The neighborhood was quiet, which was great, but we were close enough to stores and restaurants to where we didn’t have to drive far at all to check out the area (including the nearby water park that we could see from the property!). We definitely recommend this property for a relaxing getaway!

Great escape
I can’t begin to say enough about this adorable property and the owners. This property will not disappoint. It was close to multiple beaches, and the pool was fabulous. It was completely updated, and so comfortable. I think we may have packed too much for our stay because the home owners had everything there for us. It truly felt like home. Great Relaxing Cottage
We had a great stay at the cottage. Plenty of room for a family of five. The kids enjoyed the pool and the sunsets were breathtaking. The cottage was in a great location; easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, gym, not a bad drive to Sanibel.

Perfect stay!
The Sunset Cottage was everything it advertised and more. Everything was exactly as pictured and was a beautiful place to stay. Great neighborhood and easy to get to. Great trip and lake view and fishing was awesome!
Will definitely return. It was trying times for the owners and all of Cape Coral and they went above and beyond to make us feel like we belonged in the Cape. Hurricane Ian hit and they made the trip happen despite the challenges.

Very clean property with lovely out look over lake
A very clean property with a gorgeous out look over lake very well maintained property with pool guy and gardeners once a week. Good communication with Stu the owner. Having stayed here for 2 weeks I do feel we over paid for this property paying less for more space there were two good sized bedrooms and a very small box room with a glass door no privacy but probably ok for kids listed to sleep 8 people I would find it very cramped and the road noise did keep me awake at times that coupled with the AC motor outside one bedroom and the pool pump motor outside the other bedroom but after four nights slept fine. Overall a lovely property.

Pool was amazing and the location couldn’t be better. Very close to grocery store (under a mile) and the sunsets were to die for! We had a great time here and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Best family vacation!
This was our last family vacation before both my children go off to college. What wonderful memories we made there. The pictures online do not even do this home justice. The owner of the home, Stu was great with communicating, The house was spotless as was the backyard. The kids really enjoyed the Kayaks, paddleboards. The sunsets were absolutely beautiful. This is my first experience at a Vrbo home and I would absolutely do it again at this beautiful home.

More than expected!!
The cleanliness, attention to detail, and amazing decor make this property a 10+ on our list! We could not have asked for anything better and we will look forward to staying here again. It was so tempting to just lay by the pool all day since our stay was fairly short but we ended up taking the kayaks out a couple of times. We met a few of the neighbors across the lake and ended up chatting with the cleaning crew and pool guy towards the end of our stay. Everyone had wonderful things to say about the property owners. We were in touch with Stu several times and he was more than helpful and always responded quickly which was much appreciated. You can find Sea Shells Vacation Rental on Facebook which will show the many locations available. We love how they all have their own personality but also have a common theme - amazingly beautiful!

The weather was most exceptional during our stay, which allowed us to enjoy the fabulous sunsets every night. The pool provided a relaxing wade after days of beaching and boating. In the morning, the use of the kayaks and stand-up board made for a quiet time to appreciate the beginning of the day. The house was cozy like a warm cup of coffee. Basic provisions were supplied. Check-in/out process was easy.

Amazing family vacation!
Our family just left a week’s stay in Sunset Cottage. It was amazing! The house was absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. It was very well decorated and taken care of. The view from the back of the house is spectacular. The kids loved fishing everyday from the backyard. They caught a ton of fish on hotdogs! The pool and spa were perfect, large and warm!! We grilled for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the sunset. We have twin babies and there were even two portable high chairs that attach to normal chairs. They really think of everything. Stu and Cathy are very kind and responsive to texts, messages or calls when needed. We were all very sad to leave this amazing cottage. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing home, great location, beautiful!
My family stayed there for a week and had the best time! The pool is amazing. Overlooks Lake Kennedy with beautiful sunsets! The fishing was outstanding. We fished every morning and evening and caught at least 50 fish: Tilapia, Bass, Blue gill, Sunfish, Gar and Orange Tiger. It's a great location close to stores, restaurants and shopping. Stu and Cathy are great hosts!

Memorable trip!
Our stay at Sunset Cottage was nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival, the house was very clean. The decor was attractive, the linens were quality, and the furnishings were comfortable. The pool was where we spent most of our time. Before our arrival, we were unsure of how well it would be heated or how comfortable it would be but the hosts, Stan and Cathy had it a great temp and it was enjoyable the entire time! The kids were in heaven… so many memories were made with our two families. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. Nice Weber grill for our dinners. Amazing landscape and views. And the sunsets….just wow! Great location close to several amenities and not far from the beach. Stan and Cathy are well connected with exactly what guests are looking for on a vacation. I told my husband on our last night, I’ve never been so comfortable at a home away from home! We will definitely be back and plan on exploring their other properties. A+++

An amazing stay!
To start off this was the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed at and we have stayed at approx 9 or 10 of them throughout the US. Beautifully decorated with very nice details and again very clean! The sunsets were amazing and the amenities were too. My girls ages 10,13,15, loved paddle boarding, kayaking the lake, and fishing off the dock. The gorgeous pool and hot tub were just what we needed after a long day sightseeing or a long day at the beach. The owners had floats, beach toys, beach wagon and chairs for us to use. Communication with the owners was very easy. Actually got to meet Stu who is a very personable guy and you can really tell that him and his wife really care about their renters and want them to have a great time. He literally took care of our tiny issue within minutes of texting him. 100% will rent from them again!

Another Wonderful Vacation!
This was our third time staying at one of Stu and Cathy's Cape Coral rental homes and as usual it did not disappoint! The pool/hot tub area is perfection! It is very evident they love what they do and care about giving people their very best. We actually got to meet them on this trip and they are the sweetest, nicest couple! Knowing you're renting from someone that is trustworthy, really does make a vacation so much more enjoyable and the whole rental process easy. My only concern about bragging about their homes is that to many others are going to start renting from them and make it harder to get a rental spot on their calendar!

Adult Children Take Elderly Father on Southern Get-Away
This property was amazing! It was exactly as described, and then some. Stu and Cathy’s attention to detail was noticeable and appreciated. And the craftsmanship was superior to any that I’ve seen in Florida. Raised panel cabinets in kitchen and doors throughout. Solid 6 panel wood doors (not hollow plastic). Good size closets with plenty of hangers. Lots of dresser drawers to unpack and settle in. 2 refrigerators, which really came in handy. Plenty of kitchen cupboards, and many extras in the “small appliance” area. The sofas were very comfortable, which is something that is usually not taken into consideration in advance. But it’s so important! The 5 huge sliders provided us a view that was unbeatable. We had some cooler weather, but we still had the view! Outside the attention to detail continued. The pavers are beautiful. As is the pool and hot tub. The water in both pool and hot tub was nice and warm, and very soft. I loved the multiple tiered deck overlooking the water. It was a great spot to watch the sunset or to just enjoy the view. The outdoor bathroom is a great idea, as is the shower. We also appreciated the kayaks. The “Game Room” (garage) was nice with it’s ping pong table and foos ball table, bikes, and fishing poles, coolers and beach chairs. We also appreciated having 2 washers and dryers. We had the pleasure of meeting Stu and Cathy during our stay. They are genuinely concerned with making their guests’ stays a comfortable and memorable one!

Fabulous & welcoming home away from home
This was my absolute favorite VRBO we have ever stayed at. Everything was clean, updated, abs homey. The property owners Stu & Cathy have thought of everything to include books, games, movies, plus the hot tub and pool are so awesome! The garage has a great deal of family fun activities like a fooseball table & pool table-with a extra fridge. They have bikes, kayaks, and a paddle board. It was a great way to relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine when it’s so cold in WI in January. You will NOT be disappointed with this property or the hosts. Everything was amazing & a great experience!

Brilliant property!
Fantastic property. Amazing pool and location right on the lake. Stu was a superb host who was always speedy in his responses. Our twin boys (6) loved the pool and the nearby mini golf. House had all you need and was in a great central location in Cape Coral. Would definitely look to return to this property.
