Hotel was nice, staff was not nice.

Posted 11-May-2015
Pros: comfortable and spacious rooms
Cons: rude staff, charged double for our room, did not take the trash out of our room prior to arrival
Location: close proximity to the beach, 2 mile drive to town- $7 cab ride per person each way to get in and out of town
We arrived to the hotel after running the Ragnar relay race this weekend. We had booked a 6 person room for 4 people. Last minute, 3 of our friends asked if they could stay with us; instead of sneaking people into the room we politely asked the staff if we could add 3 people on, fully expecting to pay the extra costs. The woman assisting us was extremely rude and promptly told us this would not be allowed. We asked the woman if they would be able to come hang out in our room before driving back to Boston that night and she said "Don't make me come check that they are spending the night." So after trying to be honest with the hotel and pay for the additional guests, we got scolded. Our friends did not stay out of respect to the hotel staff. The next morning upon check out, we had to request a receipt from the hotel for our stay. I have never been to a hotel where this has not automatically been provided. Upon receiving a copy, we noticed that we had been charged for 2 rooms instead of 1. At this point, the staff on duty was unable to refund the transaction and forced us to talk to the manager today to get the money refunded. Overall, the room was nice and we did have a comfortable stay, but the staff was so rude that we are unlikely to stay here next year.

Old A/C ruined our stay

Posted 20-Apr-2015
Pros: Not my cup of tea
Cons: New decor, new A/C...
Location: Location great next to beach
Room was small with a pull down bed. Decor old, but had certain 70's charm. Non-smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes. Heater/air con was so loud that we could not sleep. We had to cut our 3 night stay short and return home after one sleepless night.

Smoking in hotel awfully crappie locks on doors

Posted 20-Apr-2015
This hotel is I a great spot and other. It's way to being good if owners put more money and work into it. The worst locks I have ever seen on the room doors no clasp or chains can be open with a shove. Paint still smells in room , bathroom plumbing not complete and exhaust fan disgusting. not ready to use. Room set up smart and textured covering of wall as well but absolutely not worth more than $65 a night. We were also rushed out at 10 am check out for benefit of cleaning crew. Just Sucked!

It sucked.

Switched to the White Wind Inn after one night. Was a billion times happier at the White Wind. Sandcastle seemed desperate and pathetic and tried every trick to make us stay.

Superbe vue dans un hotel très agréable!

Posted 25-Nov-2014 on Hotels.com

Great base foe Cape Cod

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: Lots of facilities (didn't use either of pools but staff offered to take covers off if we wanted a dip!!), superb location (go for sea view rooms)
Cons: Used the hire bikes but they needed some maintenance despite being described as 'two of their best'
Location: Walk the causeway from Provincetown harbour over to the lighthouse but watch out for the tide coming in, going over some of rocks & cutting you off
Very helpful staff, room had all yhe facilities for self-catering & fantastic views out to sea!
