Nice motel in quiet area of Canberra.

Posted 21-Apr-2014
Pros: Free parking and wifi. Breakfast choice was good with hot items prepared by staff as requested.
Cons: Needs better layout for bathroom. Better heating during cold nights.
Location: Parliament House, Capital Hill, National Gallery of Australia are a must-see even if you have just half a day free.
Stayed one night with family as stopover when driving from Sydney to Melbourne. Bathroom is tiny. It gets quiet cold at night in autumn so expect to use double blankets. Heating from aircon unit was pointless.

Close to War Memorial, comfortable economical .

Posted 16-Apr-2014
Pros: Comfortable beds, cleanliness, accessibility to major Canberra attractions and no traffic.
Cons: Undercover parking would be good.
Location: War Memorial, Dickson Shops, main Northbourne road to major sites. Easy access to Parliamenary circuit.
Motel is in a suburban area, very close to the War Memorial and just off the main Northbourne route into Canberra. All tourist attactions are easily accessed from here. Hotel was a comfortable economy motel great for a family, with good carparking. The Dickson shopping precinct with a wide range of restaurants, supermarkets and takeaways is within 5 minutes drive. It's a Motel not a swank Hotel but spotlessly clean, beds are amazingly comfortable and everything you need is there for a weekend visit tio Canberra.

Really nice accommodation. Spotlessly clean.Promptly serviced. The host ( Pat) and her staff could not have been more helpful. Very comfortable bed . Motel is in a lovely quiet location but close to all the major attractions. Close( 1.6 Kms) to the Dickson Shops where there is a wide variety of good quality eating places.

Short overnight stay

Posted 03-Apr-2014
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Decor
Amazing staff helped me when I was unwell. Beds were comfortable and good sized room! Even let us check in an hour early which was greatly appreciated. A bit far from town centre but thankfully had a car so wasn't too bad. Good stay!!

A Quiet well renovated Motel

Posted 28-Feb-2014
Pros: Room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.
This renovated motel of two stories has all the facilities expected in accommodation of this price range including a bar fridge. It is well located in a quiet suburban street and a 5 minute drive from the Dickson shopping and restaurant area which is brimming with restaurants favouring Asian style but also Italian and pub/club food available. Its also only 5 minutes to the big sites of Canberra - War Memorial, National Gallery, Portrait Gallery, Library etc Off street parking and WiFi all provided free.

Quiet but friendly location

Posted 01-Feb-2014
Cons: have a map or instructions in the room on the nearest shopping centre. It was Dickson and it was lovely, good cafes and restaurants
Location: Quite location, but had to drive to everything. Dickson shops had an aquatic centre and lovely dining
Our stay was pleasant, and when there were issues, such as noisy people standing outside in the corridor talking at the top of their voices at 11.30pm which management did act upon promptly. Also the were excellent at fixing a leaking shower tap and had it fixed within an hour even on a public holiday. The only disappointing thing was that the location specified it wasn't far from most local attractions, however it was and you did need a car.

Very nice hotel - staff pleasant and helpful. Room included fridge, tv could be tuned better. Comprehensive continental breakfast included in room rate. Had dinner at hotel - very tasty and reasonably priced. Shopping centre close by for any extra groceries. Short drive to Canberra attractions,
