Pros: quiet area; easy to find, not far to travel to main sites.
stayed for 6 nights, we were upgraded to a larger room, but had a TV reception problem on the first night, and were immediately transferred to same type of room the next day. Very helpful, good breakfasts.

A place to see

Posted 06-Apr-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
Location: You need a car to get around but there are many different places to visit. Suggest old and current government houses and the war memorial.
Although the city is small you do need a car to get about. Canberra is a place that every visitor to Oz has to visit to tour all the government buildings and museums. It puts a perspective on Oz that you don't get from any of the other places a tourist would visit.

Great family hotel in lovely suburb

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: Clean, peaceful, great location, well appointed facilities in the room.
Location: Lovely quiet suburb, great set of little shops around the corner with a popular IGA, easy access to all of Canberra's attractions.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were compact but clean, well appointed and exactly what we needed for the weekend way with our little family. The facilities in the room where great, it was handy to have a microwave and actual plates etc available. The location of the hotel was great - easy access to all of Canberra's attractions without being in the middle of the noisy city. It was quiet and peaceful. There is a great set of shops, with a popular IGA close by. We will definitely be staying here for our next visit to Canberra.

Simple and affordable accomodation 3.5 stars.

Posted 05-Mar-2015
Pros: Neat and tidy. Great bathroom.
Cons: Change carpets - bit noisy.
Location: Didn't get time to investigate.
Basically everything one would need for an overnight stay. The room was tidy and neat and the facilities adequate. Not quite the level of a four-star hotel however would be very suitable for a short trip. The environment is not overly conducive for sleeping and a bit noisy at times but overall nothing to be concerned about. I would consider staying at Best Western again for a night or two.

Quiet location in residential area.

Location: Not within walking distance of dining or shops.
Would recommend, as long as it is understood you need a vehicle to get to and from.
