Fair value, decent room, no ammenities

After a brief walk from the public parking lot down the central street of old Cadiz we were greeted by the manager of this apartment building and given our key and some brief instructions. He was very pleasant and quick with a dining recommendation. The room was clean and spacious and the building centrally located on the main walking/shopping street in old town. While towels are provided, there are no toiletries...so pack your shampoo.

Casa Palacio is an excellent choice for any time spent in Cadiz. It is right in the middle of the city on the busiest pedestrian street, calle ancha. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. If I were to go back to Cadiz, I would 100% choose this apartment facility again. Everything is available that you would need. They do not clean your room every day (more like every other), but this is to be expected from an apartment rather than a hotel. I stayed at a hotel that was 2x the price in Sevilla prior to my arrival, and this was just as good while being much more spacious. There are tapas bars, shopping, and town plazas all within a block. To stay anywhere else that isn't as central and pay more would be silly. Casa palacio is highly recommended.

Great apartment but lacking in cooking equipment

Posted 25-Jun-2012
Pros: Spacious, clean, bright, beautiful
Cons: No pans to cook with!
Location: Perfect, couldn't be more central
Great apartment, really clean, modern and comfortable, and so spacious, Our only problem was the lack of cooking equipment in the apartment. We had a cooker but no pans, knives or chopping board. So we had some difficulty in preparing the meals we wanted. I got the impression that this apartment had just been (beautifully) refurbished but hadn't quite been kitted out yet. We did feed this back to the staff so I hope it will be improved soon. Overall a great place to stay right in the centre of the old town in Cadiz.
