"We were really happy with our recent 3-night stay. We booked a family room for two people - we prefer to have two beds when jet lagged & our room was a perfect set up for us (could either be a king or two twins, plus a sofa bed). Our room was spacious and bright and we were actually pleasantly surprised at how roomy the bathroom was, which had a small tub good enough for a soak. This is a quaint, old historical building which means you can expect creaky stairs and floorboards; we travel with a noise machine so zero noise issues for us when sleeping. We had no issues taking our luggage in the elevator, although we lucked out when bringing them down - the service guy was just about to start working on it. Excellent location for everything you need in Buxton; we walked around the park and through the downtown most days. Great choices of restaurants around. We were not impressed with the buffet breakfast, it was very expensive for the low quality and minimal selection, so advise to try a local well-reviewed place instead. The bar area and quaint front room for afternoon tea looked more inviting, however. Staff were all fantastic and made our stay all that more enjoyable. We will defo choose Old Hall Hotel again when we next visit this part of UK!"

"We had a fantastic time staying in Snipe Cottage. The cottage had pretty much everything we needed, and was cozy and comfortable. Joanne was very friendly and helpful. The farm is located in a fabulous spot, and our kids loved the friendly sheep. We'll definitely be coming back."

"We stayed for two nights and could not complain about anything. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and Knowledgeable about everything inside the Hotel and the wider local area. The Spa was a welcome bonus to our stay and if we had had more time we would have liked to have spent more time and possibly had a treatment or two. Rooms were clean and very well presented. with everything that the traveller needed for a stay. Breakfast catered for every taste and there would be no complaints about the variety or standard of the food from us. I could not compliment the Hotel and staff enough and hope to visit the establishment again. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. The Inn is on a fairly busy road, which means it's easy to find with loads of parking - but most of the better known walks are a drive away. We ate at the restaurant both nights as it was so delicious and the team was lovely and welcoming too. Great ambiance and lovely management."

"The property has everything one needs, quite a lot of basic products such as milk, tea, coffee, sugar were provided. The heating was on as temperatures were low for June!"

"What a lovely property! The house itself was absolutely charming, with beams and cozy fires (along with provided wood) and plenty of space for our large family. It was clearly a loved family holiday home, for everything needed was right there -- from olive oil to family games. The beds were also incredible and deserve a mention. The location was stunning -- spectacular walks and views from every direction. It was a family favorite for sure!"
