Great Beach House
We had one week with just the two of us and a second week with another couple. The home worked great both ways. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. It is not a shiny new home but rather a well loved beach house. Great location - easy drive to supermarket and restaurants in Los Barriles and Taco Tuesday at the resort next door was excellent. Use of the pool at the resort next door was a bit pricey, 600 MX, but a little walk up the beach in the opposite direction is another small resort which is only 200 MX for day use of a nice pool and their brisket sandwich is quite good. It was quite windy but got in plenty of walks on the beach, some swimming and snorkeling and a couple mornings of Kayaking- sunrises are incredible. We also got in day trips to Santiago, San Bartolo, Punta Pescadores and Cabo Pulmo which were all fun.

Nice property!
We had a good stay at this beach front property. It was a little difficult to find using the written instructions that were provided, but communication with the property manager was quick and responsive. It was very hot and humid when we were there and the A/C units had a diffcult time keeping the place cool during the heat of the day. The place is older and needs some minor repairs, but the location is outstanding!

Excellent Beach House
Casa Harden is a very nice and spacious house right on the beach. Great communication with the owner. Plenty of room for my wife and I and our three teenage boys to spread out. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need to cook all your meals. There is air conditioning in every room and it works great! The huge patio right on the beach is where we found ourselves hanging out, and it has a large palapa for shade during the day. Kayaks provided with the house was a big plus for our family. The location is central to everything and you can run into Los Barriles in a few minutes to get whatever you need. The beach is gorgeous, you can snorkel right there. Great for a long walk or a run. The dirt road behind the neighborhood will take you to La Ribera and the other hot East Cape fishing spots. Also, when you rent this home you are getting a vital property manager service from Josefina. One day we started our rental car, left the keys on the hood and took off to a secluded beach about 40 minutes down a dirt road. When we turned off the car and realized we did not have the keys, we called Josefina. She immediately scoured the streets near the house, found the keys and personally drove to the remote beach where we were to deliver the keys. Excellent customer service and she saved the day! Thanks again Josefina!

Best Family Vacation to date
All of our gratitude to the owners and Josefina for an amazing home we were able to stay in for a week. Our two sons were in heaven with the proximity to the beach. The house was equipped with everything we could hope for; a surplus of towels, washer and dryer, ample space and comfort. The kids are mandating that we make this an annual vacation. Thank you so much!

Great House - Poor Managment
Arrived at 3:00 per instructions and workmen were installing windows in the kitchen. Tools and materials filled the kitchen and the hammering and drilling was awful. No person to greet us except by telephone. Workers left at 5:00. Loved the house and location notwithstanding ATVs going by on the beach regularly.

As “beach-front” as it gets!!
I was a little hesitant to spend the big bucks on such a large, beautiful place for just 2 of us, at first. But the luxury of having the beach & ocean RIGHT THERE, literally at your back door, made it worth the cost when compared with other rentals that may have been a little more affordable in the area. I love that it was just over an hour & a half from SJD airport, but you really feel the difference, being OUT of the tourist traps. The Sea of Cortez is calm and very swimmable (almost no waves at all) and the sound of the mobula rays slapping on the water at night is the only noise you’ll hear. It was so safe, peaceful and relaxing! We were there in winter, so it was chilly & windy at night (bring a sweater) but if you’re out in the direct sun, you can still warm up enough to swim & kayak (boats provided - only a couple dozen yards to drag down the sand from the house to the water). The village of BV doesn’t have much to offer outside of residences, so we went in to Los Barriles each day for restaurants/drinks and it was just a 10min drive with PLENTY of cantinas and restaurants to choose from. Plus the kitchen at Casa Harden was fully equipped and abundant with spices, condiments, etc, so we were spoilt for choice. It was so well kitted out with beach towels, soap, toiletries, reading material, etc., that we really probably could have packed even lighter than we did! The Wi-Fi worked great, and you can actually get a pretty good, solid Verizon signal in the area which is not always the case on the east cape. Because it was winter, we saw very few neighbors in the area, but they are very (physically) close, so the privacy and peace & quiet aspect may change over the seasons. The house itself was perfect, in fact the only improvement I could even come up with has nothing to do with the rental at all, but rather the nearby hotel, where I would simply say “manage your expectations” when it comes to food and service. The best food is most definitely in town. We tried the restaurant once and it was a bit of a let down (especially in comparison to the local fare), but definitely convenient for a quick drink. I will end by saying that if I win the lottery I would absolutely go back to Casa Harden for an extended stay (3 nights was not long enough) and probably even choose winter again, because while it wasn’t necessarily hot, classical “beach weather”, the peace and quiet and lack of action was exactly what we were hoping for! What a treat!

Wonderful beachfront stay!
House was perfect. Right on the beach, very quiet location. It has the amazing private outdoor hot shower! Restaurant at the Spa Buena Vista Hotel (3 doors over) was exceptional if you don’t want to cook. Josefina the property manager was very responsive and took great care of us!

Location is perfect!
Our stay way great. Location is perfect if you are looking for a place on the beach. The resort is so close and for a fee you can use their pool, pickleball courts, spa and eat at the restaurant. The owner responds quickly. We will go back again.

Relaxing, comfortable stay.
We enjoyed this house immensely and would certainly consider staying again. It's right on the sandy beach, three doors down from the Buena Vista Spa Hotel, and probably about 4 miles from Los Barriles by car. On occasion we ate at the Hotel, but generally went into town for lunch and then had a light snack for dinner at the residence. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and even some pantry items to get you started. Everything is on one floor, which we appreciated. There were lots of novels and DVDs, good wifi connectivity, and satellite TV service. The owner lives in California but the local manager in Los Barriles who was very responsive to our needs and easy to communicate with. The highlight of our trip was the kite surfers who practiced their sport RIGHT in front of our casita a couple of days!! What a thrill. They were amazing to watch -- apparently the Los Barriles area is known for this. Tip: many snowbirds seem to rent ATVs so they can drive into Los Barriles using the beach as their hi-way. Not so many as to be annoying, it sure looked like they were having fun! We had rented a car so we didn't do this. Oh, and for the return flight we found it very easy to get a COVID test at the East Cape Clinic in Los Barriles -- about $45/person.

A beautiful home!
We had a wonderful stay at this house. The location on the beach is really beautiful and adjacent to the Spa buena vista hotel. The hotel hosted a wonderful dinner on the beach with a concert and it was a truly memorable experience to step out of your door and take a few steps to enjoy fine dining. It was very clean and had almost everything you would need. This is property is very easy to find if you are driving yourself and the street behind it is very quiet and nice. It has great parking. The bedrooms are nicely arranged for privacy and comfort. Two couples, or large family could be very comfortable here.

Sandy Beachfront Home
Our family really loved this home. The beachfront view is breathtaking. We enjoyed playing Frisbee, flying kites, and playing smash ball on the white sandy beach. The ocean was crystal clear and sandy in front of the home. There is some snorkeling to the left side of the home. We are experienced divers and saw a lot of sea life in this snorkeling spot. We really enjoyed the 2 outdoor showers one to rinse off and the other is a private one in the back of the house. We loved sipping our coffee on the veranda taking in the beautiful ocean view. The kitchen has everything you need in terms of cutlery, utensils, plates, pots and pans. There is even a large jug of purified drinking water upon arrival. The living room has beautiful high ceilings with the awesome ocean view. The master bedroom has an ocean view and a sliding glass door out to the veranda. The 2nd master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with a beautiful outdoor shower. All the bedrooms had comfortable beds and good A/C. We really utilized the BBQ that was located at the front sitting area of the home overlooking a tropical landscaped yard. We plan on returning next year.

Baja dream
What a perfect beach house for a taste of baja living. This place will put you in the middle of historic hotels , surrounded by a quiet village and beach from your front patio. Swim in the sea of cortez or visit Hotel Buenavista for drinks and a swim. We will return Josephina thanks for the great service. We had a blast! Tu amigo Gallo

We stayed for a month here. Location is perfect. Close to everything, beautiful beach. We repaired the cable for the tv while there, and the prop manager was quick to fix the busted water pipe. The house is nice, a bit dated and needs a serious deep cleaning. Would stay again. But needs some TLC for sure

Great location!
Rented for friends. Location wonderful. Quiet, pristine beach great for kayaking and whale watching. Right on beach with great patio. Fully stocked with good beds and furnishing. Pricey for area and condition. Guests were concerned with doors being unable to lock, no hot water for first 24 hours. Owner did responds quickly to fix problem.

What a great community!
It would be nice to keep this special area of the Baja a secret! Our family always appreciates an authentic experience and connection with everything local and we got all that and then some in this lovely community. And then to land in the Harden House after a day out, to enjoy the morning sea breezes with our coffee while the girls slept in, to have the luxury of the comfortable space of the home to spread out in on down days, a kitchen with a view for when we cooked at home, great neighbors to visit and learn from, and our neighborhood cat Charlie that we gladly welcomed twice a day for a little love and feeding too - we loved all of it. A couple of notes to consider - we did visit at the windy season, so not the warmest of times, however the kite surfers are awesome to watch! And there are many quads that drive up and down the beach regularly throughout the day. It didn't bother us that everyone was just having their own best time, but worth the consideration. We are grateful for our time there and would visit again in a heartbeat!

Paradise found.
This was our second time here. The house was very clean and had plenty of room. Especially enjoyed watching the sun rises on the large deck with the shaded covering. Hearing the waves from the house was amazing. Everything we needed was provided. Can't wait to stay here again.

I LOVED this house in Spa @ Buena Vista. Easily connected with the owner before and during my stay. The home had everything needed for a relaxing easy beach vacation; beach towels, chairs, and toys, a complete kitchen for cooking and ample storage in a pantry and outstanding beach views. The times I had questions Josefina, the outstanding property manager, answered, took care of, or showed up at the house. The most difficulty I had was leaving. I will definitely return.

You can't beat the location of this home right on the beach. Less than 10 minutes drive to Los Barriles and situated in prime location for fishing (hotel next door), fun on the beach and swimming, this place is amazing. We cannot wait to come back next year and spend time at Casa Harden. I don't want the secret to get out about this place, but everything was great from check in to check out. The owners are very responsive to any questions you may have and the house is fully stocked with practically everything a normal home would have. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Beach front paradise.
Beautiful spacious 3 bdr house with a large fully equipped and supplied kitchen. We watched Manta Rays jumping just off shore. The area is special, also. It isn't overrun with touristy crap and hucksters trying to sell glitz. Nearby Los Barriles has a nice variety of restaurants and bars and a good supermarket. Warning. It has no identification. We drove right to it but the previous two houses were #31 and #39. Totally unrelated to the Lot 7 for which we were looking. Even the neighbours had no idea that it was Lot 7. It took 20 minutes driving around before I decided that it had to be that house. Also, they say how to get here without a car but don't even consider it. You need a vehicle.

Quiet Patadise on the Sea of Cortez
Amazing location with a million dollar view, steps from the water with incredible snorkeling and next to a great hotel that welcomes anyone to the pool and restaurante with excelente drinks and food. Absolutely PERFECT for a family vacation!
We stayed here between Christmas and New Years and absolutely LOVED this house! The owners have thought of everything you need from board games and beach chairs to a fully stocked kitchen. The porch was gorgeous for sunrise every morning and even though this was the busiest time of the year for the area we almost always had the beach all to ourselves. There were lots of books and DVDs to chose from and snorkeling equipment and boogie boards, floats, chairs, umbrella and a cooler. The owners were wonderful to work with and very responsive to questions. We have stayed in more than 25 VRBO properties and this was our favorite by far!

Another great visit to the East Cape
This is my 5th time to Casa Harden and as in the past visits the home is a great place to relax with family and friends. Barbara has done some nice improvement to the kitchen such a new stove, pans along with utensils. Josefina the Property Manager is available to assist with anything you need in the area which is a nice bonus. Thanks again and looking forward to next year.

The Quiet Cabo Experience
If you're looking to get away from the crowds of tourists and the Cabo scene, come to Casa Harden at Buena Vista. Quiet, beautiful, comfortable. Feels like home, except you're in paradise. Work on your Spanish at the local mercados. Plenty of nearby amenities and very friendly locals. Great launching point for day adventures (fishing, snorkeling, mountain excursions) or just watch the sunrise over the water and relax by the ocean and pool all day! This will be a regular vacation spot for us.

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor shower. We used the kayak, snorkeling equipment, and quad and had so much fun. The ocean and swimming pool were the best of both worlds. Wonderful local cuisine and sight seeing tours. Would we go back ... Definitely!!!

The house was perfect. Right on the beach although a little windy. We were happy we had the sitting
To be honest, the house could use a really deep clean. Most of the dishes seemed to be put away dirty or just not washed. Towels were old and we weren't sure if they had been washed. Our bed had a good amount of dust and hair around the bed skirt, kind of disgusting. The loft was not some place you could hang out. Dirty and dead cockroaches. Overall the location was nice it's just needs some cleaning. Thank you

great location!
My husband and I had a great stay at Casa Harden and we look forward to staying there again. The location was great and right on the beach! The house is right in between the two hotels in Spa so if you like to have a bar nearby there are 2. The house had all of the things we needed to have a comfortable stay as well as beach toys and even a kayak! The property manager was friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
