“Great Location”
Having arrived at the local Metro (Rogier) we found the hotel without any problem, only a few minutes from the hotel. I had a small problem checking in, unfortunately I had the wrong reference number, however the girl at the entrance was most helpful, entering me on to the register which I then found quite straightforward. The room was basic, adequate for our one night stay, clean and modern. the facilities were fine, left luggage lockers where we were able to leave our cases before checking in and after checking out, at a very reasonable charge of £2 Euros per locker. The location was excellent, a shopping mall almost next door and a City Bus Tour stop only a few hundred yards away. About 15 minutes away we found a large Christmas Market and between the hotel and the Christmas Market many restuarants to choose from. If I were to return to Brussells I would book into this hotel and again and would also recommend the hotel to any friends visting Brussells
“cheap and good quality”
Excellent value - the hotel is minimalist but has everything needed for a short stay. Room was spacious, as was bathroom and hotel was quiet. Location is close to metro. Thoroughly recommend this in an expensive city.
“Clean, modern, functional - but no amenities”
While the hotel is in a bustling neighbourhood and within sneezing distance from the Rogier Metro station, the room I had was dead silent at night and in the morning. It was also spotlessly clean and functional. Needless to say, I slept very well there every night and have earmarked the hotel for future journeys. This being said, be prepared for the future of hotels. The check-in system is comprised of a touch screen monitor and is analogous to airline check-in systems. You even need your passport scanned before the machine dispenses your key card. I was highly amused - but also comforted by the presence of a very polite concierge whenever I needed assistance. In my case, I did require assistance as I arrived 4 hours prior to normal check-in time. The gentleman was lovely beyond compare and found a way for me to check in early. I know they can't do this on every occasions, but I do believe the Max Hotel will always try for their customers. The only draw backs I found were no shampoo, and only one pillow - which was acceptable as I was a solo traveller.
“Great Value”
Hotel is very clean and in a nice location close to sub stations. Really easy to walk to most tourist attractions. Hotel offers many amenities from vending machines. Staff was available to help with check in and check out. I like the concept!
“good location”
excellent location: 10min walk to the grand place, large shopping street on the back side, metro 50m away.... very well priced.
“Be prepared and it's fine”
Provided you know this is an aggressively "no-frills" service, it's fine. Location is pretty central, and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Check-in is automated, but there are helpful staff on hand if you get stuck. We used it for a cheap overnight stay and it was ideal for that.
“Very clean, contemporary and comfortable hotel in Brussels”
Loved this hotel-- Was only in Brussels for 2 nights, and spent one of those days in Bruges, but this hotel was perfect for what we needed. Around the corner from the metro, and within close walking distance of the Nord Train station (that takes you to Bruges). Tons of falafal shops within blocks of hotel so there was cheap lunches accessible. Could walk easily to the main squares and tourist attractions, as well as right around the corner from a big shopping street. Very clean, stylish and modern rooms, elevator, easy computerized check in and check out, and very helpful and nice men working in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.
“Nice, clean hotel. Decent location.”
Maxhotel was very clean. It was a small room with minimal extras; however, the bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained. The hotel is located in a decent area, fairly close to the city centre.
“good value”
This hotel is good value- convenient as it is close to a subway station, a train station and large mall just behind for the price charged . The walk to the Grand Palace was about 10 min. so not as convenient as staying right in the action but that it was about half the price, it was good value. Room was sparsely furnished but very clean and updated. We checked ourselves in with a machine- a bit strange but very easy to do. There was always one or 2 friendly staff in the office just off the lobby to help. There are several machines on an "amenities" floor that sells snacks, drink, toiletries and even an extra pillow, blanket and housecleaning services! Advice? Before leaving home, phone the hotel for a password that is necessary for check-in. Bring all your toiletries as the hotel only provides one tiny bar of not very good soap.
“Very clean”
