“Way Too Small and Noisy on the Streets”
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I feel sorry for anyone staying here.
“Good budget hotel”
The hotel is comfortable and in good shape. The manager/staff is helpful and willingly provided suggestions to improve our stay in Brussels. The room was clean and comfortable. The price included breakfast which, while it didn't include a huge variety, was always fresh and good. There were juices, cereals, yogurt, cheese and meats and several types of pastries. The breakfast room is quite pleasant. The hotel is easily accessed by tram from Gare Midi. The Janson stop for the tram is at the intersection of 5-6 streets so finding the hotel can be confusing. I advise printing the map from the Expedia web site to avoid this (wish I had). Several attractions are within easy walking distance, as are restaurants and retail. Overall we were happy with our stay here in mid -September 2011.
“DECENT PLACE! GOOD VALUE!”
VERY NICE PLACE. HARD TO FIND AT FIRST BUT IT WAS GREAT! I THINK YOU HAVE TO TAKE TRAM 92 FROM THE TRAIN (CENTRAL STATION) STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND SPOKE GREAT ENGLISH! (AUSTRILIAN ACCENT) HE EVEN GAVE GOOD GUIDE/TOUR INFOS. THE OLDER GENTLEMAN WAS ALSO VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE. I WOULD GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL. AND GOOD PRICE...
“Decent for the value”
The hotel itself was just fine, close to the tram so we could be downtown in about 15 minutes, good breakfast buffet. The only issues we had were the hotel staff. They were not helpful and did not like having to be bothered with questions. As far as how good the hotel was, it was fine if you are looking for a comfortable room that is cheap. If you are looking for much else, you might want to look somewhere else.
“Not a good value for the money”
Hotel was hard to find - no parking provided for the car. The double bed had no box spring ---just a 'rope' type hammock under the mattress which made the bed go down to about 1 1/2 feet from the floor and made a hole you rolled into when you laid down on it. No phone in the room - our son tried to call us and was told that we were not at that hotel - connected him to the reception which never gave us the message. The mgr. did not speak English and was not very welcoming to us. He did end-up providing us with his parking space which allowed us to keep the car on the stret in front of the hotel. For the same money we spent on the room you could go up a star rating and get a much nicer and cleaner place to stay.
“Good value, centrally located no-frills hotel”
This hotel was a good find in central Brussels. My room was spacious, quiet and clean. The shower took a while to adjust but was otherwise fine. I didn't manage to find any English news channels on the TV and the time it showed was wrong by one hour, which panicked me briefly! Breakfast was plain but pleasant and I had no problems checking in or out. A comfortable no-frills hotel: bring your own shampoo.
“Good hotel in a quiet street”
Friendly hotel with just 12 rooms, so quite a change from the main chains. Easy enough to find, about 15-20 mins walk from the Eurostar station. Buffet breakfast and internet use was included in the room price - a welcome change from the main chains.
“Simple, nice and quiet”
A simple and nice hotel in a quiet side-street of Chaussée de Charleroi. Public transport (tram, bus) and the famous shopping area Avenue Louise are nearby (5-min.-walk). Free WLAN, simple breakfast
